One of my first Forest away trips was Darlington. We befriended some smack heads who were on day release and as they were off the heroin they were getting nailed on Aftershock. When we were about to go to the match we said we were off to the car to get our gear and they were crestfallen when we explained we went our coats and bags.

In the unlikely event they are still going and you can find them pass on my regards, they seemed nice.

If it’s any consolation, Spurs fans were getting giddy when Murillo limped off v Porto.

They must be thrilled now Cunha's hurt as well.
    Morato. Shudder.

Morato is terrible. He is physical but has the retention span of a goldfiish. He is also slow. Not ideal. Cunha I am guessing has a shoulder. That is a bugger. Hopefully it's his wrist but I don't think so. Although I did notice Aina slipped into the back three and wouldn't be a hopeless idea if we can get N'Doye to play wing back. Or Bakwa if the fucker can get his already shot confidence back...

I watched the Spuds struggle against Wolves. They weren't very good when they had Solanke and Simons on the field. That Djed Spence was pretty good though. I cannot imagine that they can win 3 more games. Chelsea weren't brilliant against leeds but had enough and the under 21 stand in seemed to know the dark arts pretty well so i suspect our game might be a bit nasty. i was pleased that they won though as they might be distracted by the cup still.

The Shammers annoy the fuck out of me but they have the fight to want to survive. Spuds most likely to capitulate but who the hell knows in football.

Thursday is going to be interesting. I wonder if we go for the shithousing route whilst our defenders get to rehab.

    Chicago: Musing.

For some light entertainment watched the athletic's podcast on Leicester. Instantly annoyed by Leicester fan highlighting its the first time they'd had a points deduction. Well yes, because they found loopholes the previous 4 times they should have had them.

Catching up a bit on the weekend. So Simons went off injured after an hour, with the score at 0-0, and Maddison stayed on the bench? He can't be anywhere close to fit.

Not ready to play, no. Currently included for his "leadership qualities", I read somewhere.

I think I went to Lincoln v Darlo once in the old new (Nationwidej) division 3 (so divsion 4 in old, old money) in the mid 90s.

I don't recall knowingly meeting any smackeads, on aftershock or otherwise.

    Bayern defending is suicidal.

Assume in Germany they get away with it as the other teams just aren't as good?

They just tend to outscore the opposition.
Tonight they haven't missed chances, they've just consistently wasted openings without even getting a shot in.
    And the defending is suicidal.
    Still, 1 back...

It's very refreshing to see two teams go forwards whenever they get the ball rather than backwards and sideways.

Premier League bosses must be shitting themselves at how Pep has destroyed their product.

With one match left in the season, three different teams could all finish second and three different teams could all finish sixth. Heck of an end to the season.

Yet again Bayern look likely to score - and don't even get a shot in.

PSG hit the bar - because they actually shoot rather than try and walk it in.
And yes - it's ridiculous to be feeling like this given Bayern have actually scored four!

Everywhere this morning banging on about best game ever last night.

Is it just me that thinks from a defending perspective it was poor.

Football is about stopping the other team scoring, not just Klinsmann like we will score more than you.

This is true and some of the defending was terrible. That said, the games most people remember (as neutrals*) tend to be the high scoring ones.

*obviously, as a non-neutral, I don’t give a shit that we “only” beat Malmo and Hamburg 1-0, or indeed Huddersfield for that matter.
