There's going to have to be a scalp and it would be harsh to make it the intern. Eckert would have signed-off the spying - no way that was done without his knowledge.
Well, obviously. The point was that Southampton are going to have a job spinning a line that Eckert wasn't complicit without looking a bit silly. That's why my feeling is that he'll have to go.
I didn’t see the Villa Spurs game but the impression I’ve got is that, as well as picking a reserve team, they barely made any effort. You can’t accuse the team we sent out at Chelsea of that, given the result and the casualties on the day.
We may have played the B team, but we went for it, and brought on quite a few of the A team early in the second half to try and see it out. It was very different. That twat Emery practically read a book during the Spurs game.
Most annoying is it worked for them. They threw the game v Spurs (rested players and those on the pitch told not to try) to try and force us to play strong v Chelsea. We had to bring on MGW and then lost him for the second leg, massive blow
Outcome doesn't matter. It does my nut in that idiot commentators go waffling on about how there's little you can find out, and how much it really matters. Completely irrelevant to the point. If is so useless, don't do it - because it's against the rules.
They obviously felt that it was providing some value, because they were prepared to knowingly cheat to do it. If not, they are complete idiots. Do I think it should be against the rules? Not really, but again. not the point. It is.
It’s all a bit old school isn’t it - man hides behind tree like a peeping tom in order to extract crucial information from opposition’s training session.
Surely there’s enough money swilling about in football these days that they could just rent some satellite time from NASA and be done with it.
Soton getting booted was entirely appropriate and getting a points reduction for next season too. 4 points though seems a bit Forest. I would hope that the appeal would result in 6 or 9 the cheating bastards. The only other problem is, as much as this is the right thing and the Prem should do the same with Cheatski and 115 charges they won't because y'know money... Middleborough if they win probably won't sell Hackney to us which would be a bit of a bugger or we would have to pay more and if PSR was a thing next season (apparently it won't be now..) then we might not get him. good talent so 'ull I guess. McBernie is a cunt but at least they should be relegated without a fuss I would reckon.
Football did the right thing today but it will probably be more crooked in the future. Anyway, can someone relegate Citeh>? Can you imagine if Spuds went down on Sunday and then got saved by Citeh being sent down instead? If Wet Sham get the drop that wouldn't happen in a million years.
Anyway, i will watch the Championship final to keep an eye on my new boyfriend (hackney) who we are looking at as the new Gallagher/Geddy.
Chicago: Weekend warrior.
Edit: As for Villa - meh. It would have been fine if they had just beaten us which they did comprehensively but them gifting the Spuds a lifeline does leave a bit of puke in the throat.... Anyway, after disposing of us it was always likely to happen that they would win.
