With the Rogue Trooper film coming out soon and some sterling reviews... albeit from 2000ad themselves..... 2000ad.com/news/the-rogue-trooper-reviews-are-in/. the interest in comic books will raise again and half my childhood is stuck in Cotsgrove which sounds a bit scary.
The problem remains that my 2000AD comic book collection is stuck in Limbo in Tricky's attic and at a certain point he is going to want to move them out of there because he may have other priorities. SO.... HOW THE FUCK DO I GET THEM TO THE USA WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY A MORTGAGE and Tricky can once again store his human cargo in his house with no repercussions.
There are a lot of boxes. I think they may have broken Tricky's axel when he liberated them from my Mum's house when she moved into a smaller place.
Do any of you web mongs know of any good shipping company that won't a) lose them, B) rip me off and C) get them through customs without getting ripped off by the Trump administation. I haven't addressed this problem recently as wifey and I moved into a rebuilt house and have been playing firefighter ever since with bills approaching $150,000. The builder was a crook and we sued him but sill have to make mammoth repairs of things we never thought we had to.
Anyway, I have been working my absolute nuts off for 6 years straight (3 years in the new house) to pay for retirement and house. I now can see the light financially and am now looking at logical ways to feel whole by being reunited with my full 2000AD and Judge dredd and Comic collection.
So any legit ways to ship the boxes over. I am assuming ship would be the best way to go but okay with air cargo transport. I don't want this to be a pain in the balls for Tricky as he did me a massive favour so also logistically the easiest way too. Not really looking at DHL or anyone like that (because the cost may crush me) but a company that deals with lots of heavy cargo. Any suggestions would be welcome. Does anyone work in shipping or transport logistics?
I know asking a bunch of webmongs is a terrible idea but here we are.
Thanks in advance.
Chicago.
