I’m not having that as a good save. He could have nodded it in but gave the keeper time to get up as he set himself for the blast.

I think Igor would have got himself the match ball yesterday.
Just thought they looked really flat and resigned after the first goal (and it sounded like the away end went quiet). Like they did after the coventry goal. And the Leeds goals.
Feels like there's a collective lack of belief. Hopefully it's something OG can improve now he's got a 4 week period where we are only playing at weekends and he can spend the midweeks working with the players.
Amazing how perception of players improves when they aren't in the team.
So no thoughts on the fact that Palace took complete control of the game when their manager changed them from a back 3 to a 4, gave them an extra man in midfield, and dominated us as we just kept trying to keep doing the same thing that was already not working?
That's an amazing take on our first half performance. Not working? If the players finishing wasn't so inept we would have had 4 or 5 goals. A Hammer friend text me on about 35-36 minutes saying "Wow, you should be 6-0 up!".
Did they dominate us? It became more even but I'm not sure we were dominated, still created more chances than they did I think.
Didn't notice the change in the ground.
No, I'm talking about the fact that Glasner didn't respond to the changes that Sage made. The criticism of Dyche was that his Plan B was to do Plan A better. Seems directly applicable here, except Plan A is already shit.
except Plan A is already shit
So your take on the first half is that we were shit?
If they changed to a back 4 and it was working so well, how come their first substitution was to take off Lerma and bring on their young centre half? (Presumably switching back to a 3.)
A well executed 343 will have one of the three central defenders attacking the ball in midfield areas when necessary.

I imagine because Lerma was on a booking.

If only there was some way of playing that didn't require that.
I can't see any commentary on them switching to a 4 online, just that they went more direct with longer balls as our press was being so effective against them trying to play out.
Have to say I'm not sure Glasner's record is as 'elite' as has been said. He finished 12th and then 15th (1 point ahead of us) in his two full seasons at Palace. Yes he won trophies but if that's what we have signed him for we are setting up for failure - it's incredibly unlikely that he'll win the one cup we're still in; aside from anything else, for a cup specialist, his last two domestic cup runs have ended in the first attempt.
Fact based opinion has no place in football chat. Please stick to irrelevant/made-up stats.
No but we were just a Liam "Stan Collymore" Delap finish away from a huge victory, tricky.
Fans of xG will be interested to know that the team that most underperformed their xG in 24/25 were Palace, the team that most underperformed their xG in 25/26 were Palace and the team currently most underperforming their xG in 26/27 are Forest. Probably doesn’t mean anything though.
Aren't we second in the table if only it was based on xG and not actually G.

Think that was before the 430 game on Sunday. Opta have us third now.
Damn even that's going the wrong way...
