As much as I like Punk, Metal and Rock and Roll. I am really into the melancholy tomes of Warren Zevon at the moment.
I guess I am feeling sad (but am unsure why).
Anyway he's ace.
Chicago: Mournful.
Yep, they made the playlist
Tonight I saw Kesha and Scissor Sisters. Honestly one of the most unexpectedly fun shows I've seen in a long time.
I'm as old and square as can be imagined but that sounds proper fun.
While not particularly liking any of their songs, the scissor sisters are a great pop band.
Tits on the Radio is a top tune.
The monkey men* are playing Ska at the manvers in cotgrave. I've got my window open and can hear it fine. Favourite track so far "Lorraine".
* Leave it, ingo.
Final Straw by Snow Patrol isn't just one of the finest albums of the britpop era, it's a magnificent piece of work in its own right. It just is.
AKA as the layman's guide to mopeing through the noughties.
I agree with second bit. But, my inner pendant says 2003 wasn't really 'Britpop' era.
That was pretty much done by end 1997 at the latest. In my humble.
Considering this alongside other recent posts, I think it's time for an intervention.
Mate you have no idea. Strong alcohol, multiple cigarettes, probably some narcotics, and a large helping of self pity. Snow Patrol is my perfect soundtrack right now.
(I'm fine. Just dealing with some shit, mostly self inflicted. Nothing I won't get through.)
Have you moved on to some pick-you-up Green Day yet?

Bananarama. Oooh.
