I was expecting Sharrock as well, given he's a HFB, but all the reports say Starkey as "the best live Oasis drummer" and no chance of Alan White.
All three of Bonehead/Gem/Bell is a bit odd, given Gem was Bonehead's direct replacement on rhythm guitar (and shared lead guitar duties with Noel). I thought one of those two would have picked up bass, rather than having Andy Bell on stage as well.

Bonehead's presumably there because he's the third member that the casual fan would name. They don't actually want/need him to play.

He's also part of Liam Gallagher's touring band and has been for some time.

You could probably split a show between 90s mk1 (ish) and 00s mk 2 (ish) set and wheel out the Arthur's or Archer accordingly. Or just have both. For the lolz

Shed Seven did that to a certain degree for a time when the former original, original lead guitarist sort of replaced the better known lead guitarist when he left in 2001(there was another additional one the 2001 album as well, confusingly), but when they reformed after splitting, the other better known lead guitarist returned but the replacement stayed and switched to the (previously non existant on a permanent basis) rhythm guitar and keys role.

And Shed Seven are a fuck load better than Oasis anyway. Obviously.

A discussion this morning about whether bucket hats are cool or not led to a discussion of the Stone Roses (I posited that bucket hats and always will be cool because Reni), which in turn led to the shocking revelation that one of our group, a 47 year old man (admittedly Canadian) had never heard of The Stone Roses, much less listened to them.

Currently listening to Welcome To The Beautiful South. I had forgotten how beautiful this album is.

The new album from The Meffs. Produced and mixed by Frank Turner on Fat Mike's label (Fat Wreck Chords). Punktastic.
