Pottering around the house with Youtube on in the background I suddenly realised it was playing John Shuttleworth's Europigeon song. Found myself changing the lyric 'pigeons in flight' to Morgan Gibbs-White (I want to see you tonight).

Just on my way to see Massive Attack. Shockingly, will be the first time.

On my way back from. Seeing massive attack. Having a quiet moment because I didn't think anything like that was possible. My inner cynic is in trouble.

I hate arena gigs because they are emotionless spaces with little connection to the experience. Massive Attack were complete masters of using AV to completely immerse you.

Madball were fucking spectacular tonight. Cemented in my mind that my next tattoo is the NYHC logo at Vinnie's shop next time I'm in NYC.

Seeing Simple Minds tomorrow night, they're supported by someone called Modern English. Listened to a few of the songs that wiki tells me were their biggest hits, absolutely no bells ringing. Were they a thing that just passed me by?

Never heard of them.

I read their wiki because I recognized the name and couldn’t think why. Their big hit was Melt with You which was very big in the US. You hear it fairly often on ads and retro playlists/radio here. Nothing other than that that I’ve heard.
