New Godflesh album PURGE is out today. It's good, if you like industrial goth metal stuff. I don't mind it at all but it's quite wearing to listen to after a little while.

Saw them in Eden in Nottingham around 89. Loudest fucking gig I've ever heard. Supported napalm death who offered a bit of respite.

Been awhile since I’ve been excited for an upcoming album (that wasn’t a vinyl reissue) and now there’s this Hives album and a new QotSA which both sound like bangers.

If a blend of funk, hardcore punk, soul, deathcore and hip hop sounds like your thing, I highly recommend you check out a band called Zulu. They're remarkable.

Hives were brilliant supporting Arctic Monkeys. Howlin Pelle put so much into it, compared with miserable Alex Turner.

New QotSA is indeed excellent. Josh's voice reminds me a lot of Bowie at times.

Never made that connection before but I can definitely hear it. It always stands out to me how much any project of Homme’s sounds like him. Even Them Crooked Vultures or the album he did with Iggy.
