Music Stuff and All That

The metal cruise that I'm going on in February just announced Trouble as one of the bands playing, and one of their sets will be playing the entirely of The Skull. I am excited.

Soundtrack of my generation.
Knebworth, Finsbury Park, headlining Glasto, Sheffield Arena and a couple of other times.
And Be Here Now is a really good album with some great tracks. Just, as Noel admits, massively overproduced. And stands no chance when compared with DM and Morning Glory.

Would love to see them again for the nostalgia (and to give my kids the chance to see them) even though Liam’s voice sounds like sh!te now.

I was due to see them at Chelmsford V Festival on the Sunday when they split up after playing the Stafford one on the Saturday.

Have seen them probably half a dozen other times.

I know no-one cares but have they said what the rest of the band will be? Are they just a two-piece now?

No, nothing like that yet. Just Noel and Liam on the poster.
Bonehead has been playing with Liam so expect him to be there.
Gem is a high-flying bird so also a possibility though!
Guigsy apparently won’t answer the phone and not sure where Andy Bell is with Ride, so possibly one of Noel/Gem/Bonehead will play bass with the other two on lead and rhythm.
Alan White is also off the radar, so I’d guess Starkey or Sharrock (also a HFB) on drums.

Two old blokes whose contempt for each other has presumably finally been surpassed by their want for some more cash. It's a no from me.

Wasn't Bonehead recovering from cancer? Hopefully he's all clear now.

Sounds like they're going to announce a bunch of international dates which will presumably include North America, so I'll skip the bun fight for Wembley tickets.

Thanks for that. If it's true then I'm definitely not trying to get London tickets, Downsview will be awesome. Also, I may get a STH presale for Metlife.

You just have to hope that with a month or so on tour that they haven’t fallen out by then.
