I have a new car. An EV. An Aion V as you were asking. It can apparently do a lot of things via an app and shit. Havent worked out how to charge it yet.

Have popped the heating on for an hour this morning - first time this autumn. Was a bit chilly first thing.
I was determined to make it to Nov 1st, but WFH today and caved in.
My boiler is broken. Again
Don't buy a Biasi.
Ours is now installed and we are up and running. A Worcester Bosch.
Were on our second Worcester Bosch (last week) it lasted 10 years. And, apparently coincidentally, broke the day after it was serviced.
More horrifying than mundane, but it's 60 years today since the Aberfan disaster. I remember it so well. I was the same age as those kids and it terrified me at the time. Still does, to an extent.
My shopping this morning came to a pleasing £43.21.
Where do we stand on all train lines through Woking being blocked because somone is on a bridge threatening to jump?
Sympathy for their mental state or not?
I'm fully a bleeding heart liberal when it doesn't affect me in the slightest.
Anywhere but the live rail.
I think it's possible, normal, and reasonable, to have sympathy for someone in such a terrible mental place that they feel compelled to such an extreme action, while simultaneously being irritated that said action is causing such a significant disruption to so many other people's lives.
I think on a cost benefit analysis basis there is probably a reasonable case that where disruption outweighs an individuals useful lifespan, we should put a sniper to work as soon as possible.
Interestingly the state doesn't feel that they want to be seen shooting ordinary people, because of the optics. They are happy enough that they can limit your opportunity and life expectancy, and asset strip you before you die, so really they are just playing the long game.
Forcing you to hide your lighter in your shoe doesn't make the world a safer place, but some people feel safer.
I've just had a flashback to sitting on the M1 with Russ, Fella and someone else (Ed? Warren?) for fucking hours because someone was threatening to jump off a bridge at Leicester Forest East services. At least it made us miss a home defeat by Watford (where I think we finished with 9 men?)
Remember it well. Someone had nicked the aerial off your car so we had to take turns holding the little metal nubbin on the roof to get signal.
And at some point we realised we weren't far from a village so we scrambled down the bank at the side of the motorway, walked to the village, and went to the pub.
I'd forgotten the aerial bit. I - now - seem to recall that whenever the nubbin fingerer looked to the left the radio switched to the Coventry game.
