Used a voucher from my birthday last month to buy a power bank for my phone. Seemed a very mundane, almost Partridge thing to do.

You've now tied the number of times I've been in The Pillar Of Rock in my almost 6 years oop Bozza.
The only other Bozza pub I've ever been in was the local estate pub The Quiet Woman. To vote in the Mayoral election.

Yes. That's the one. We'd never seen such advances in public and licensed recreation facilities before. Not even so much as a Tom Cobleigh at that point.

Very tentatively starting to think about another family trip to the US/Canada after a great few days in New York last October. Would be three of us (Little Miss BW is 13).

VancouverAnyone have any strong thoughts good or bad on those, or any other recommendations?

Probably no help as i've never been but that's a lot of cities, what about a national park or beach?

We rather like city breaks but open to any suggestions of good places to visit.

I'd probably take Vancouver and Washington off the list, and stick to the great cities. Chicago would probably be next for the chop, for me. Sorry Chic. Toronto is a great city, and I have family there...so if I was going anywhere it would probably be there. But probably not if I didn't.
Anyway, the answer is probably San Francisco. Shame it's not nearer.

What time of year? That will make a difference.
If you haven’t been DC is a great shout, so much to do and good restaurants - also super easy to get around.

I'd always heard Washington DC was a really dull place with not much going on for a tourist bar The White House and some monuments. Apart from those it was just offices. Though tbh I think I'm talking 20 years ago.
I looked into going a few times as I'm a big West Wing fan but was put off.

I’d do a Californian road trip, with a few days in SF followed by a couple of nights in Yosemite, then maybe a drive through Death Valley to Vegas. I’d end with a return to the coast for a few days, somewhere like Santa Monica so you can do the Universal / Disneyland stuff, or further south towards San Diego. La Jolla is nice. We did all of that many years ago with young teenagers and everybody loved it.
