Have spent an afternoon outside, making a start on rationalising a pile of pallets and bricks that have been in the corner of my garden for fifteen years. The requirement for this action was precipitated by the council serving a notice under the prevention of damage by pest act 1949, section 4. After a complaint by a neighbour.

Fcuking neighbours. At least yours don’t play Mexican brass torture music all hours of the day. Unless they are noisy and you have my permission to kill them.

    Chicago: Neighbourly.

That is quite impressive. I would be counting with it being a wildlife haven full of minibeasts vital to the ecosystem and generally the continuation of life on this planet.

I know Mexicans are a little shorter than us, but I can't help thinking "minibeasts" is a little racist.

Maybe the pile had begun to take on a shape easily mistake for a church, and the neighbours were worried that in low light, or fog that they wouldn’t be able to help themselves and would set fire to it.

    Or something.

Would have saved me having to move it.

If you lived in Northern Ireland you'd have no such problem. Burning an enormous stack of pallets is a good night out

So we are agreed, fire is the answer. I'm glad I have taught you all something.

Aston Villa ran a coaching session in my 7 year olds school today and he came home with an invite to a three week trial for a development squad.

You have to be realistic enough that he isn’t going to a professional footballer but it’s nice they are delving deep into Leicestershire so might pick up the odd gem who then won’t be at Leicester.

Forest should be ashamed that they allow those Brummie Cnuts to infringe on our territory. I declare we should do an incursion into the black country to find the next Jude Bellingham before they do... Or something...

    Chicago: Territorial.

One of my football friends, with whom I also used to play snooker, was a scout for Villa in this area.

I don't know if he still is, as I haven't seen him since before covid, but I know he's been involved coaching and administratively at a local club.

Villa have always maintained a fairly wide presence.

All sounds a bit to HAMAS for me but at the same time I did a quote for 100 Free Palastine hoodies earlier in the week so if that comes in I'll amend this to "all sounds a bit Israeli".

Out of interest, do you use a spellchecker before you print things?

Yeah you need to be careful to not offer ‘Free Hummus!’.
