We have never run out of cat snap or shit try consumables since that dark day in 2021 when that episode demonstrated in no uncertain terms that if the cat's staple requirements are in any way not met following my agreement to take responsibility for such at any given specific time, there would be fucking hell to pay.

I have never accepted such responsibility since the abovementioned.

The road where I work is currently closed for roadworks. Access only, there’s 3 sets of signs (2 of which you have to manoeuvre past mini-chicane style) informing drivers that the road is closed and diversions are in place.

So far 19 lorries have driven past all these signs and discovered that the signs weren’t lying and that there is a massive hole in the road. It’s been great fun watching them struggle to turn around on the small round. A plastic bollard has been run over and one double-artic got scratched to fuck in an argument with a tree.

There’s an old pedo looky likey over the road who jumps out like a trapdoor spider and waves his arms about at the lorries. It’s brilliant.

Anyway, the tally is 19. Two today.

You've got to love the effect of satnav. Some people just have an irresistible compulsion to do as they are told!

Expo was insanely dull, marginally saved by there being a disproportionate amount of Nottingham folk who were of the faith.

There's a sign now on the A50 eastbound approaching the M1 junction 24 screaming at drivers: IGNORE SATNAV, FOLLOW SIGNS

How often when you see a sign on the Motorway like "Animals in the Road" or "Debris in Road" are they accurate?

Just had my eyes tested. A slight deterioration but I'm still not at Premiershipleague ref level yet. I mean not enough to warrant new glasses / lenses.

Have spent an afternoon outside, making a start on rationalising a pile of pallets and bricks that have been in the corner of my garden for fifteen years. The requirement for this action was precipitated by the council serving a notice under the prevention of damage by pest act 1949, section 4. After a complaint by a neighbour.
