This morning I have request for a quote on a t-shirt and fleece that runs to 1306 words (I pasted it into word as I was curious).

My reply is 62.
My pants are made of a synthetic material, and have a label in them that in big writing says "Keep away from fire".
I think that is, broadly, good advice.
Unfortunately, they're frequently exposed to flammable gases. I'd stick to cotton.
I'm trying to get my head round the decision making process that results in a grown man deliberately choosing to purchase and then wear underpants made from synthetic materials. I don't want to imagine the sweatiness.
Who said that they are underpants? I had some washing to do today, and everything dirty went in it. Given that I'm playing tonight, and rather than soil ordinary clothing for the sake of a few hours, I put my football kit on early.
Played tonight...had one of those nights where things didn't happen...but had a decent impact on a game that we ground out 1-0. Played against a few of my closer football friends. Over the course of the game, one kicked me...I kicked them back later. Another kicked me. I kicked them back later. One absolutely wiped me out. I didn't get a chance to kick them back properly.
They are on the list.
I've been called in to see my daughter's Head Teacher not once, but twice today. Another girl's parents have made complaints about the way my daughter has been behaving in friendship circles, and on being pulled into the morning meeting with me and the Head, my daughter doubled down on her behaviours through the day meaning I got called back in after school.
Whilst trying to educate my non-angelic daughter on the importance of always being nice, I can't help think that these other parents are going to be in for one hell of a shock come September when the reality of Secondary school hits. A certain amount of TUP is required.
Kudos to your daughter for sticking to her guns. Not so much for being a psychopath. Does she take after you?
My favourite summons to the school was because, when told they were going to visit Derby, the response was "What? Where the sheepshaggers come from?".
I have no idea how this sorry set of events could have come to pass.
My primary school teacher, an old man with clear favourites as I recall, once so upset my mum at an open evening with his assessment of my in-class conduct comparing her little angel, such as I wasn't, to the type of child who would grow up to start the Toxteth Riots that appeared to be popular on the telly news at time that Seán Snr, upon hearing of this when collecting her, sat on the old duffer's car bonnet and intimidated him into an apology.
It was an RAF base school and apparently you could get get away with that sort of thing when you were a brick shithouse enlisted Sargeant type in 1981.
Not big or clever, but the story does still amuse me slightly to this very day.
Turned my computer off. Immediately an update for my phone became available. After installing an update on my phone I need to use my computer to restore root. None of which I can be arsed to do until tomorrow, now that my computer is off.
Are you posting this from your smart fridge?
No. That is being posted by your hands. My hands are using my phone, which works just fine without this weeks upgrade.
My fridge is not very smart. Possibly even in the lower quartile of TalkBack members.
Had our antique boiler replaced this week, so the new one feels almost space-age in comparison. It obviously opens up the possibility of either a Nest or Hive-type smart thermostat.
Does anyone have one installed and recommend? I'm happy to consider if it's going to simplify things and/or save money, but not looking to spend £250+ on something which just looks pretty in the hallway.
I have had Nest and now have ecobee, and the latter is a far superior product.
Just spoken to our fitter and he said a Nest would require a low-voltage cable being put it and I don't want the wall hacked up to accommodate. Looking now at the Hive, which he recommends. Will take a look at the ecobee, too.
