I don't suppose you've ever had a customer called Vi Etnam?

Have you ever made a tribute t-shirt for Eileen from the song "Come on Eileen"? I think it would sell.

Loaf, I don't suppose your mum is called Eileen is she? Jake has had an idea.

    No. She is called Mibaps.

Watching The Apprentice. This episode is Isle of Wight. Wondering if I'll see Dunc.

Starting to house hunt with a view to moving to a single floor property (bungalow in uk parlance).

I had forgotten how challenging these conversations can be with Senora Mus…

Doesn’t help that there isn’t a lot of these in our town, and the two currently on the market are waterfront which adds unnecessary $ to the asking prices. While I wouldn’t rule out living on the water, rising sea levels not withstanding… apparently that’s less attractive as the water isn’t the same colour as it is in Sardinia…

Went to a different grocery store to my two usual ones this evening and they had my favourite cut flowers (Oriental lilies) on sale in a variety of colours. Went with a rather striking coral.

Then I made my first salad of the year, and without thinking added salt to the vinaigrette having already salted the tomatoes. As a result of this amateur mistake, the salad was slightly too salty although still entirely edible.

Could go in the Pleasing and Annoying threads respectively, but both of these things seem quite mundane.

Serious question. Have you considered a) moving to a different town now that the Senorita is going away shortly, or b) buying some land or a teardown property in the right location and building the home you want?

Not ruling out moving to another nearby town but first approach is to try and find something here.

We would consider the build our own approach if we thought we’d be staying in the area long term, I just don’t see that happening though, I’d need to be comfortable in knowing that we’d be here in 10 years time, and thats unlikely. If the Señorita had chosen a different school there was a strong possibility we’d already be looking further afar, neither of us want to stay in the burbs much longer, the reality is that there isn’t a lot of difference between living in Providence or staying here, and moving into Boston doesn’t change much.

DC is a longer term option or even the Carolinas - for now were in a holding pattern, if it wasn’t for Senora’s mobility challenges we would likely stay put in this house, but the reality is that we ideally need to find a one floor home.

It's proving surprisingly complex and time consuming to configure tmux with the micro text editor to suit my needs.

Just realised I have 2 tickets for Matt Forde at the Concert Hall tonight.

There's zero chance of my making it given I'm still a bit wheezy and coughing a good-un and feel rubbish.

Its not sold out and I dont think they'd resell even if I could be arsed to try, so if anyone wants them for free give me a shout.

Thought it was a bit weird. But I suppose in modern Britain we should embrace any job creation initiatives. Even if it's just cleaning piss out of a bin.
