30,318 on mine. It was over 50k but I deleted loads a while back then got bored. It’s creeping up again though.

I have just checked my Gmail account that I forgot I had.
No idea how many unread mails there are as it just says 99+. I don't remember the last time I ever used it so imagine there are quite few.
