Whilst I and others on here have benefitted from tickets passed around, on balance I think I'd prefer them to rigidly enforce (like the European games) as it's fair and would be a net benefit to everyone (me included).

Even the Villa Europe away game they checked photo id in the turnstile queue.

I totally agree, but their current 'enforcement' system is going to catch what? A handful of people per season?

I guess it might act as a deterrent which should make some difference.

I get that people will always hand tickets on to mates etc, a bit unfair but that’s life.

But what pisses me off is the cunts who buy tickets to keep up their loyalty points and have no intention of going or finding anyone that wants to go. I guess that’s a big problem of the £30 price cap.

The new guidance should stop that at least. If your ticket isn't scanned at the away entrance, you don't get the points.

I don't know there was a lot of that as most ends seemed full.

But I have sat (stood) next to people who had bought tickets off (of) 'mates' in the '400 club' for £100 each. Don't agree with that.

Maybe it wasn’t too often but Man City midweek was one, Brighton on a Sunday another.

And touting like that that is very low and deserved of a ban for me.

Didn’t the club clamp down on people buying tickets but not turning up a few years ago? Chelsea away the season before last (I think), we bought tickets but ended up not being able to go at the last minute, and we got an email saying that our tickets hadn’t been scanned and we’d be in the shit if it happened again.

Just had an email about new utilisation policy for season cards. 14/19 but transferring it or listing it (even if unsold) counts.

So not too hard to meet at all.

They say 1000 seats per game were unused and unlisted last season. But, certainly in last few months there were always a decent amount unsold for games so not sure how much difference this policy will make. Will for the big games.

Yeah, I'm sure there'll be some complaints but if you are suffering last minute transport or similar issues 5/6 times a season, then you have bigger problems, presumably covered by the serious illness or other life events exemptions.

The email is ambiguous though. By my reading, they are saying that the seat has to be "utilised" 14 times but also that your eligibility will be reviewed if you don't "utilise" it for 5 games. Maybe they think there are 18 home games?

Also are they guaranteeing the exchange will be open for every game? Previously it only opened once the game was sold out.... (theoretically, I'm not sure they actually stuck to that).

There is also a loophole, of sorts, that if you forward it onto a member and they don't attend, that still counts as utilised. So if I can't attend and can't (for some reason) list it, I can forward it to a mate and it still counts towards my 14.

The other member has to accept the forward. Presumably they then get a black mark against their name for not attending which could effect their future hopes of a ST?

If they are dumb enough to want a season ticket, presumably they are likely to miss this?

I was curious so exchanged emails with Billy the Chatbot (who continued to be the most sophisticated I have ever come across...)

The 5 game review would be a check to see what's going on as you are close to be tipping point, intent is very much to help people not breach the rules etc.

And resale was available for all games last season and starts midday the Friday after tickets have gone on sale earlier in the week.
