Nine years ago this week, Forest signed Daryl Murphy for £2m from Newcastle to replace Britt Assombalonga.
He apparently was our fifth pre-season signing that summer, following the arrivals of Jason Cummings, Barrie McKay, Joe Coveney and Liam Bossin.
I had to Google the last two. Coveney is a midfielder who'd come through the ranks at Manchester City - last seen playing in Serbia. Bossin is a goalkeeper signed from Anderlecht and who's since played in Ireland, Holland and Belgium. Signed for Fayenoord 18 months ago and hasn't played a game for them yet.
