He’s had a great last two months but he hasn’t had a great season. The fact they can nominate him over Anderson based on the whole of this season’s work shows how short sighted everything has become.

6th top scorer in the league, from midfield, for a team in 16th place isn't bad.
Yes I agree. Most of those goals have come in the recent past.
He had a run of goals under Dyche as well didn't he?
Anyway, new contract for Neco, it says here.
Didn't he have a new one last year?
Morgan nominated for premier league player of the season. Interesting when he's not really in the running for our player of the season. But i guess we're looking at it differently.
Isn't he? I'd say he's stepped up this season at key times and is effectively the poster boy of the team. I think Neco has a great shout for consistency, but really MGW has carried the team at times and has to be a big shout for player of the season. Those two and Anderson would be my top three candidates.

I think he's the clear third place but I'm expecting Neco, with Anderson second.

I would say 'key leader' rather than 'poster boy'. In a team with some excellent characters and leaders, he is first amongst equals.
De facto captains rarely win player of the season awards, but often their contribution is most significant.
Yeah, I meant it in a positive way. Maybe yours is better wording though.
Sels out of the world cup (seems unlucky but as they've gone Courtois, Lammens and some 20 year old Chelsea player, seems like they got a bit of big club fever), Sangare in.

Also says as things stand the club aim to keep all key players. Unless this is a smokescreen suggests they don't feel we need to make any sales to meet financial regulations and will try to persuade Anderson to stay (with improved contract?).

That's stupid. Presumably because Silva is going to benfica.
He's already contracted to the end of next season. Let's see how he does next year and extend at Christmas. There's very little chance he outlasts his current contract.
"Silva rejects Forest" is all over the gossip headlines.
And agreed about Vitor.
Would obviously be hilarious if Marinakis told the big 6 to fuck themselves and kept our big 3.
Its at least getting the message out that we want a fuck tonne of money.
