You've lost them right there.
You've lost them right there.
We may lose a business changing gig because of Brexit. I know who in the company voted for it and I tell them everytime some Brexit related shit presents itself, which is almost daily, that it was fucking stupid. My hope is given the slim margin of the original vote if there is a rerun I will have done enough to sway it.
It seems that when separatists lose it's just another learning step on the road to eventual independence and when they win it's a one time never to be reviewed decision that must be acted on immediately.
Those pulling the strings are not stupid. When you have the chance to find out that what they pushed on you was a crock of shit, the last thing they want is you finding a way to wriggle off the hook.
I find they have all gone a bit fucking quiet. But I know and make a point when opportunity allows.
In other news, more white powder being delivered to elected state Representative offices again. It's getting annoying. Maybe A.I. should kill us before it becomes unbearable...
Chicago: Missing Kerrang.com yesterday.
YOu cannot believe anything on the internet buuuuuuuttttt....
Chicago: Clearly spending too much time not following my own advice
I see that Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is in more sex trafficking paedo trouble.
If they can un-royal each other for rocking the boat, can't we vote to un-royal the lot of them for being a shambles, an embarrasment, for stealing our assets, and being a massive drain on society?
America seems a little less mental today. Although who knows how this is going to play out. Hopefully we can all get along better and not be so shitty to others less fortunate. Trump and Putin have until January to put ther screws on Ukraine. I wonder if the orange one keeps trying...
Anyway, it could all go pear shaped but we shall see.
Chicago: Slightly relieved.
Looks like Alaska and Mississippi are going Dem, so they'd end up with 56. No point in impeaching Trump (Hegseth, maybe) but they need to be holding constant hearings into the misdeeds of the last two years.
I think Hegseth is toast regardless. Best hope is Trump gets progressively more deranged as his term winds down and makes the Republican Party even more toxic. Hopefully, utterly negating any sniff Vance has at higher office.
I'm hopeful that Vance's full hearted support of Vivek Ramaswamy's campaign being replayed on a loop in 2028 will sink any campaign he runs, besides if the cost of living and notably petrol stays where it is for the next 2 years any republican campaign is hopefully shot.
Vance is already taking shots at Trump because he is aware that his window for running for president is shrinking. He is way more dangerous than the thick orange corrupt one. He is also a Peter Thiel acolyte who believes that democracy stands in the way of capitalism. He is not stupid but he is a fucking arsehole. Rava-slimey losing is big because Governor's certify elections.
Texas turning blue all over the place is just amazing. Abbott and Ken shitbag Paxson were core to voter suppression there, so this is big for the next general election.
Putin's plan could be toast. I think we also have to thank Ukraine for blowing up all the troll farms just before this election.
Chicago: Hopeful.

Disagree, no one is as stupid or dangerous as the orange one, because no one including Vance has the capability to actually run for President and actually get elected, I just don’t see enough states voting for Vance as he doesn’t have Trump’s Teflon coat through which his Cult followers see no evil. Vance maybe trying to distance himself but he made his bed and he’s stuck in it. Johnson has already decided that the ejector seat is the preferred method, Vance won’t escape from history and his behavior of the past two years.

I’m quite confident the dems leadership will have learned nothing from basically letting Trump get away with Jan6 and will do nothing useful to ensure people who participated in the lawless shitshow of the past two years are held accountable.
Obviously no point going after Trump. He’ll be dead soon anyway. His family is fair game though, as are many in the administration… right down to, indeed especially including, many of those murdering meatheads in ICE. People need to know that if you join a fascist enterprise then you’re not protected when it gets brought down. Otherwise they’ll all do it again if they get the chance.
The dems have got two years where they will have limited ability to actually achieve anything… which gives time to line things up and send some clear messages. I expect they’ll spend it fighting with each other because Schumer et al are not going to stand down and let the new generation try running things.
Kushner has to be the top target. Hegseth Will be ripped apart by the Republican wolves because they can already blame him for their failures.
Sacks would be delicious for the Russian asset/South African white supremacy/crypto Czar/techbro combo.
But Kushner is family, blatantly corrupt, and enormously wealthy. And everyone hates him.
I'm hopeful they won't be stupid enough to try impeachment again. Impeachment is like a referendum: you should only go for it if you know you're going to win. Wilson knew he'd win the referendum in the seventies before he called it; Cameron assumed he'd win and we live with the consequences.
There is zero prospect of successfully impeaching Trump, so go for the acolytes as others have said. I don't think Americans voted for two years of navel-gazing from the Democrats. It seems that corruption was a big issue in the elections, so spend the two years exposing as much as possible and tarnishing the Republicans. I don't think Vance is a realistic Presidential candidate; he's too tainted. Rubio or Cruz will have a punt, along with some other soulless religious freaks. I'm sure Vance will give it a go, but Trump succeeded purely on strength of personality and his ability to lie and bullshit with zero consequences. Hopefully he's irreplaceable and the Republicans will spend some time in the wilderness.
Never underestimate the ability of the Democrats to self destruct though. Who are their possible candidates? Newsome will give it a go, and I'm sure the "progressive" wing of the party will have their favoured candidates.
Current favourites for the respective nominations are R - Vance, Rubio, DeSantis (latter seems most likely to me); D - Ossoff, Ocasio-Cortez, Newsom. Dem leadership have historically been better at putting their thumb on the scale and AOC still seems very young and inexperienced (not sure they'd nominate someone who'd never been a senator or governer), so Ossoff seems the likeliest compromise.
