    beep boop bop.

Rumours that I'm running all LLM's, have no more credence than those that I was running the internet.

And if you don't all stop asking m'AI systems to make you donkey-dwarf porn, I'll send Charlie round to give me a fair chance to catch up.

@Russ this training plan looks great - I’m assuming you also planned in any party substances and late nights pissed on white wine into the model - or are we back to my body is a temple?

One of my school friends moved to London 20-odd years ago after training as a criminal lawyer and getting his first job in the city. He apparently hit the drug scene pretty hard, but also got into distance running around the same time and found he was very good at it.

He runs a sub 3:30 marathon still in his mid-40s and so gets into the London Marathon every year because it's not far off elite-amateur level.

Who'd have thought that ketamine was isotonic?

After my recent European escapades I am now flicking the switch for a bit. Haven't touched a drink, cigarette or narcotic since I left Croatia on Sunday and still not interested in the idea. That festival was seriously heavy going.

Walked back along Putney High Street afterwards and thought about @JRs_Cigarette moaning about the traffic.

Was it nose to tail even at that time on a weekend?

Does anyone pay for Strava premium and recommend it? Was out for coffee yesterday with a friend who was raving about it, but I'm not sure it would offer a huge amount beyond the stack of data and insight in Garmin Connect.

Yes I pay for premium and for £50 a year or whatever it is I think it’s well worth it.
I use it mainly for route planning and I like the way that if you see a route that someone else has done you can just save it, edit it if necessary and use it within a matter of seconds.
I don’t particularly need all the extra stats you get but if that’s your thing then there’s an abundance of info.
But then I’m also not a fan of garmins (wahoo all day!) and wouldn’t go near garmin connect and its clunky interface.
Strava are losing money too and I don’t want them to go out of business because I use it all the time so if my little financial imput each year helps to keep them afloat then I’m all for it.

I think Strava are being taken over by Garmin, which makes lots of sense (without having any view on which, if either are evil).

I’ve had free trials of the premium version but all I got out of it was the enhanced stats, which just show how much I’ve slowed down over the 10 or so years I’ve been using it. Which is a bit depressing. Routes doesn’t give me much as I mostly run variants of various bits around my house. Maybe if I was still travelling it would be more useful?

That was an April fools ‘joke’ supposedly.
    Anyway, there’s no takeover.

I use MapMyRun to find and create routes. I don't track my or anyone else's performance because running is me vs me, I don't like running or lifting with other people, and I don't give a shit how fast or slow anyone else is.

I was reminiscing with a friend about this site after parkrun last week. I'm slightly surprised it still exists. I used it before you could track runs with devices. You'd get back from a run and then plot it out on there to see how far you'd gone.

Under Armour bought it years ago, it still works fine but now you have to have a (free) account to use it.

Mapmyrun? I use it quite a bit to check distances before I run, i've never signed in.
