To be fair he looked like England's best midfielder at the WC, and we had lots of possession.

In front of that back four, he had a lot of work to do.

Suspect playing City early on this season might not be a bad thing. Shame it's November before the Forest fixture.

In what way? He'll have a nice couple of years in Milan and earn tons of money.

I think we might confuse mercenaries with "people who like to travel" sometimes. I often think if I was a footballer I'd want to play in as many leagues and countries as I could. People would call me a "journeyman" and it wouldn't be a compliment.

In the way that he has struggled to settle at any club he's played for bar Forest, which is a huge credit to SSC's management skills, and I would be wary of his ability to quickly settle in a completely new country where he presumably doesn't speak the language and will be expected to immediately start living up to his significant price tag.

Look forward to seeing Ma Spence on the San Siro pitch in the near future.

According to Google translate 'Warnock ha detto che Djed Spence era una schifezza'.

Coventry have done a welcome photo shoot with Taiwo looking uncomfortable with a bald eagle. Presumably because Nigeria are the super eagles. But I'm pretty sure they don't have bald eagles in Nigeria and he hasn't played games for Nigeria for ages.

I was driven past by an ipace (I think) with a numberplate with "Taiwo" or similar in it in Coalville this morning - I didn't see the driver as I realised too late - but I may have imagined it

Isn't there an eagle on the Coventry City badge?
I think there's also a phoenix, but I can understand not having one of those to hand.

...if only there was somewhere round here that they could have found some flames.

Also an elephant and a castle, representing Christian triumph over evil.

Taiwo should be checking the small print on his contract.

This is a big badge. All we've got is one tree and that seems to fill a lot of space.

A tree, a river and TWO stars...

(the lines under the tree are meant to be the Trent, aren't they? I'm sure I read that once).
