Predictably class at this level. Paul Ifill looked like Luis Figo, and Lolley has a similar level of talent, I'd say. Fewer games means more likely to stay fit
I don't know (or don't remember) Paul Ifill but, in terms of pure talent, Lolley would easily have been a premier league player at his peak, he just lacked an edge of pace.
Ifill was a Prem player at his peak, but he lost his edge with injuries.
Some types of Prem players would lack the directness or robustness required.
Steven Taylor, once of Newcastle, was the best player on the park in pretty much any position, even though he was clearly not the player he once was.
One of my football friends was coached by him, when he was at Southwell. I say football friend. I bet he's been retired for ten years. Lovely chap. Both him and Colin.
I’ve read somewhere before that although he had a bit of raw ability he was extremely dim. If Forest were playing midweek he wouldn’t play as it would take him all week to get ready for the Saturday game. Once he was gone he wouldn’t have had this level of coaching/understanding so hasn’t made any impact anywhere since.
But he’s a millionaire and has his instagram girlfriend so doubt he really cares.
