Coincidently, the only game I ever went to was Tennessee v Vanderbilt in 1993. It was extremely fun. Tennessee were very good that year and won easily. The QB, Heath Shuler, was up for the Heisman and consequently did little of note in the NFL.

Shuler served 3 terms as a Democratic congressman also.

The Jets did some weird thing at the end of the game where they kneeled down with the ball. Don't really understand it.

You lot should just stop what you are doing and go on the Jameis Winston experience... I guarantee you will be entertained. Happy? Not exactly, but certainly entertained.

Chicago: Enjoying at least one thing on Sundays.

@Sean if you didn't watch the Sens game you really should, last night was the return of Brady Tkachuk and it was a banger.

Only Ingo could love a team that dress up like Turds....

    Chicago: Amused.

The packers feel like a cohesive and well coached team. But the defensive line has all the structural rigidity of butter.

The Jets gave Miami their first win of the season. I am grateful that I chose to spend the day on the golf course instead. I am really struggling to enjoy watching any of my sports teams right now, with the exception of the Sens.

Yesterday I went to a Marlies game with my new girlfriend. Good standard of hockey, dirt cheap tickets, and far more fun for not caring who won.

We finally took the ball off them without coughing up points. Then halftime.

Apparently the Raiders won 3 in a row and are tonight well on the way to losing 4 in a row.
    Oh well.

And they're losing to the Chargers, who are not only division rivals but after the Jets' capitulation to Miami are the last remaining winless team.

Meanwhile, a second turnover and the high risk, high reward offence pays off. Maybe playing headless chicken runaround on the snap can work after all.....

I can't say I pay much attention but I think Raiders shat the bed so badly last season that they had the worst record and the number 1 draft pick?
There was some noise about a franchise QB solving ALL of their problems? I remember thinking that they probably had a lot more problems than that.

They did have the #1 pick but they haven't been playing him (Fernando Mendoza), they picked up Kirk Cousins to be a vet starter while Mendoza bedded in and he started the season looking good. And they have some excellent players such as Maxx Crosby, they just seem to have lost their mojo a bit at the moment. I confess I don't watch them religiously but I still feel their trajectory is good, I'm a big Mendoza believer and I think they're doing the right thing by resisting the temptation to throw him in too early because of short term results.
