But they aren't good enough and they aren't that stupid that they don't know that themselves surely?

He was definitely available a lot, he just ran into a blind alley and either turned back or gave the ball away every single time. It was only in the last 20 minutes or so he started to find a bit of space, he was in Bradley's pocket for most of the game.

They are good enough to compete. That doesn't mean they're going to win every time, or even half the time, but we can play much better than that. The difference is not in talent as much as it is in consistency, application and decision making - Ryan Yates excepted, because he is clearly less talented than any other player on that pitch today, but is extremely good at making the most of what he has.

My brother says according to Radio Nottingham if the last touch before ref stops play is inside the box it goes to the keeper. If it's outside it goes to team who touched it.

I thought CHO had a couple of touches before the ref blew, but would have to see a replay to be sure.

But still clearable before the cross for the goal.

    Fuck it. I'm getting drunk.

*would probably have happened anyway as Mrs Rave returned from the shops with Belgian beer and wine.

    Just for tricky:

We've only looked like a Prem team for a few months. Give them a break.

I've only seen the goal itself (which looked pretty good, and no-one's fault), so what happened in the build-up?

Watch CHO and Taiwo conspire to give it back to Liverpool by trying to dribble out, instead of just putting their boot through the ball.

    Ta. That's pretty weak.

1 win, 1 draw in 7 prem games now I think.

Not sure how long have to give them a break for?

    That's really frustrating.

I guess the only positive is seeing the reaction of the Liverpool players, fans and bench (if you see what I mean). They know they've got away with one a bit today.

Doesn't make it much easier, but the better teams in the league don't appear to be routinely handing our arses to us to this season.

I wish I'd had more to drink before watching that.

Losing as plucky underdogs is one thing. Losing as a peer is quite different, imho.

I do get what you mean in terms of games being closer in performance.

But the actual points on the board is worse so far against the big 6 isn't it?

Arsenal - lost home and away this year, won home lost away last year.

Man U - lost home and away last year, lost away, won home this

Liverpool - lost away won home last year, lost home and away this

    City - lost away both

    Spurs - lost home both

Chelsea - won away this year, drew last.

Could still be better this year with games to play but I'm not that hopeful.

I missed the rule change that gets you points to avoid relegation by a loss classified as peer rather than underdog.

    Yeah, that's what I said.
