Maybe I'm missing something, but how does one know which threads one has, and has not, read?
On a desktop browser, to the left of each thread name is an icon. If there are unread messages that turns blue, and pressing it takes you to the first new message.
I have only just noticed that is not there in mobile view.
There is an option to view ‘unread threads’ but it returns nothing. Is that supposed to filter for threads with unread posts?
Where is that to be found?
(I can see it on desktop in the all threads
drop down...but not on mobile)
Do you have that on mobile?
Aye do.
It is there on mobile if you click to view in desktop mode, I presume that ties in with what you were saying re the android chrome cutting it off?
This is an excellent, and useful spot....
...but, yes indeed. I really need the css for mobile to display the ui elements without having to switch to desktop mode....part of the whole point is that this forum software is quite clean and makes good use of space in mobile mode.
Confirming no new post icon on Android mobile.
Actually I think it might be fine… the board just thought I had read all the threads (i don’t think I had). I am getting the blue notifier for new posts, and relevant threads show up.
Including on mobile, or just on desktop? Does the All Threads
button appear next to All Categories
?
I think I definitely need to do something for android, and am planning to do so.
No all threads on my android
Yeah, I don't think I'm seeing that either.
Honest question Tricky, why are you trying to invent the wheel? Surely there are out of the box solutions to what we need?
