Sels excellent again. What a difference it makes to have a solid keeper.

The sky gave it to MGW, so presumably @Psychobel didn't have a vote. He's a very special young man. I was watching how he was with some of his old teammates after the final whistle. It's absolutely no wonder that so many good footballers are happy to be led by him. MGW that is. I expect @Psychobel is also inspirational in his own way.

Big bonus that Aina got through the match without injury or a sending off. He was not right tonight.

A bit loosey goosey in the first half. Rock solid in the second. Taiwoooooooo!

Morgan was great and I thought CHO had the best game I've seen from him in a while. I almost posted earlier to say that I have a suspicion that he's not as fast as many seem to think he is, as evidenced by how often he stops and cuts back rather than take his man on, but he absolutely skinned Docherty a few times including for Wood's goal. Maybe Docherty is just that slow, but I don't think many Premier League fullbacks are slouches.

He showed a lot of experience and composure. I reckon pretty much all of our other midfielders would have taken on the shot there.

Judging by the players' reaction towards Taiwo, Ward-Prowse perhaps knew that an assist was more valuable to the squad than a goal. Or maybe he was just smart enough to know Taiwo was better placed...

I thought the general view was that he lost a lot of pace when he did his achilles. That’s certainly the way it looks to me.

I agree. Was wondering if Moreno would come on at some point with Williams swapping over. Though I'm sure Aina will be bouncing on the matchday pass.
Also would've given Sels MOTM, but there was a whiff of Tuchel watching MGW Sky narrative all game.

Maybe, but I've heard many a commentator talking about his pace the last couple of seasons. They used to do the same with Dexter Blackstock, I presume because if you're black and a striker you must by default be fast despite it being clear to anyone who actually watched him play that for all his qualities, Dexter was slow as an ox.

His body shape has also changed completely, post-injury. Most players broaden up a bit in their 20s but Hudson-Odoi has bulked right up - likely as part of his injury recovery.

I think all the things that people are saying about CHO are true. What I also think is that his physical confidence in his body has come back to him in the time we've had him. He's now starting to trust himself to put in a burst and change direction at pace.... No doubt underpinned by a lot of physical work in training.

In the past six games, Forest have secured four more points than Leicester have managed all season (from 20 matches).

    Points of happiness...
MGW was excellent but Sels kept us in it. CHO kept cutting inside until he didn't and set up a goal.

Singing you've seen the Gibbs White now fuck off home was arch.

Also sang to the ball boy.

Missed the Taiwo goal diving out to get the train.

Aina may have had better games but I really home the big boss man is making him an offer he can't refuse. Would be gutting to lose him.

  • 6 Jan 2025, 10:46 p.m.

    Sweet dreams

  • 6 Jan 2025, 10:46 p.m.

O’Neill certainly seemed to think so on the feed i was watching. I forget the exact quote but it was pretty merciless about Doherty’s lack of pace and positional awareness (over his whole career) during a replay of the second (?) goal.

YOU CAN FUCK RIGHT OFF! KNOB OFF WOOLLY BASTARDS!!!!!

Fantastic. I hate Wolves and they unfortunately are far better than Fester and Soton but they have Newcastle next. Let's hope they totally lose their shit.

Sels MOM with Murillo. Great goalkeeping today.

    So happy for Taiwo!!!!

    Let's hope he gets a hat-trick against Poo-Ton.

    Chicago: On A Roll.
