Sloppy. But Sels is on fine form. Wouldn't be surprised to see 3 4 3 after the break.

Excellent work by CHO. First time he makes the by line run he sets one up.,

Having scored early we didn't seem to know whether to stick or twist going forward, leading to a lot of indecision. At least we pulled it together in the last 10 after surviving a few scares. Giving them a lot of room for crosses though. Like Man U away a bit of a disconnect between full backs and CHO / Elanga.
Still think the yellow for Dominguez was harsh, but as he's on my YC accumulator I'll take it.

Was thinking Yates on early to stiffen the midfield. Especially with the midfield two both on yellows.

His arm was a long way from his body. It’s a pen for me, Clive.

    Even Sa appealed.

I’d say his arm was an entirely normal distance from his body. Footballers hopping around with their hands behind their back is not, despite its popularity, normal. It’s a function of VAR being a pissy twat handing out stupid handballs. This was a correct decision.

I think it depends on whether you think handball should only be a foul when it's deliberate, or if gaining an advantage through use of the arm, even when it's inadvertent, should also be a foul. I can go either way on that debate, but it would be good to see more consistency - as with pretty much all things refereeing.

That’s not really the argument though. We all have views on what a penalty should or shouldn’t be, but in the context of this season and what they’ve been awarding all season, that’s a penalty all day. Our titles rivals got a penalty yesterday against de Ligt for much less.

Could do with us getting a 3rd here so I can go to bed.

I hear that. But the advantage argument has to be weighed up against how much you want to give attacking teams an advantage by letting them roll for a penalty by thwacking it close to the defenders midriff hoping to catch an arm.

There’s no way to set clear guidance because it’s about the distance and pace of the ball strike as well as the position of the arm.

I don’t disagree at all that there is no consistency and that one probably gets given more often than not.

Even in old skool football that's given as hand ball all the time. This notion of deliberate, and natural position is garbage. His arm moved towards the ball, and he gained an advantage from handling it. But more than that. A big side gets that decision every day of the week.

A Taiwo substitute goal would be the icing on the cake here.
