Textbook guys. Well done.
PS: I reckon that was going wide without the deflection.

Well done all, good luck in the final. In good news, Ellie Carpenter is going to make a fortune starring in Pizza Hut ads.
Miserable govmnt weren’t going to give us a day off anyway, so fuck em. Great stuff by England though.. ground their way through to the semis and then showed up when they needed to.
As an employer, I'm quietly happy about there being no public holiday (our miserable government was going to do it)!
If we're being honest, it was shit Australian defending for all three England goals - first utter failure to mark someone in the penalty area, second takes an age to do nothing under a bouncing ball and the third there are 5 covering three attackers (or 4 v 2) but they leave Russo alone as they all run towards the ball.
Australian goal: Defenders run backwards from the halfway line, without making a challenge before the attacker is within shooting range.
All goals have some level of mistake associated with them. It's just a question of where the bar is.
That was a fun game. The pass for the third goal was a thing of beauty. I also have a crush on Rachel Daly. She is some athlete.
Our gals are skillful and very fit. At least in the sense of energy on the pitch.
We have a chance. Spain might be tough but I will be watching.
Pity they couldn’t transfer that Swedish/Serbian keeper in for the final.
Chicago: Greedy.
No comments on the final?
Sexist bastards!
Unlucky ladies… just lost to a better side on the day…
That no.9 for Spain is some specimen!
Chicago: Keeping up appearances
Didn't watch it. Went to pick up a coffee machine instead.
Watched it.
Wish I’d gone to pick up a coffee machine.
Don’t forget the glass cups, real glass! And it’s see through!
It's not only the cups that are transparent.
Spain were considerably more skillful on the ball and just as determined. Our best player was our goalie.
This has layers of sadness to it.
They were also way smarter and more composed. Great effort by England to get there but they were pretty shambolic tbh.
Spain were just way better. Tactically and technically. England’s best player was the goalkeeper. Experienced players went missing or made bad mistakes. The Toone/James decision backfired. The team looked tired. 1-0 was flattering to England.
It's on my list of things that I don't have to see, to know that it's shit.
