Taylor has him on the left of three with Worrall and Boly but having an entirely right footed back 5 seems like a weakness, so wouldn't surprise me to see Aurier/Worrall/Felipe/McKenna/Aina.
It’s this opening day match against Arsenal where I reminisce about Jean Claude Darcheville running at lightning speed towards Keown and scaring the crap out of him. Shame about the end product
I was at Highbury that night and his pace was terrifying Keown. Geoff Thomas scored a nice goal, from memory, to equalise with 15 or so minutes to go before they hit a late winner.
Hadn't Darcheville recently lost his wife and child in a car crash and was looking to get away from France for a bit? No wonder he was a bit inconsistent that season - seem to recall a decent spell north of the border with Rangers a few years later.
I was there, too - and the Thomas goal (though at the far end from us) was well-worked. I remember coming away even more frustrated, because we didn’t actually play that badly even without PvH, Cooper & Campbell - with them we’d have been fine… or so it felt. I think Glyn Hodges played that game, allegedly on the wing.
BBC Nottingham tweeted: Defender Felipe ruled out for the season opener by #nffc Head Coach Steve Cooper. The Brazilian has a knee injury.
Cooper says he also expects the game to come too soon for Moussa Niakhate and Taiwo Awoniyi, though both are "just about returning to tranining".
