Drove in to Cotgrave for kids swimming this morning. Youngest (just turned 4) goes "daddy, is the church not on fire today?" Not today mate, maybe tomorrow though.

We all know where they are getting this church not been on fire anywhere near their lifetime information from.

Like the teachers at my kids school knew exactly where the information had come from, when complaining that their discussion about a school trip to Derby had been disrupted by the question "Where the sheepshaggers come from?".

It’s no coincidence that the lack of church burning has timed nicely with Tricky’s lack of sheared hair to use as tinder.

Petro State Germain 1 Bayern 2.
Putting my free £10 bet on MacAllister, Bellingham and Bradley to get booked and cashing out with 2 out of 3 for £102.
    Tuesday night wine.
Popping to Bozza Mozza for cat food earlier, looking at the wine aisle, seeing their Porta 6 red wine reduced to £7 plus 25% off for buying 6 with a more card.
    Retirement.

Sadly both they and the sheep look to be well clear of trouble now. Derby are only 2 points off the playoffs, albeit there are several other teams between them and 6th still.

Depends on whether Leicester get a points deduction, how much is it and whether it has the effect of knocking their form. But still very unlikely - 10 points would put them one point behind Sheffield United who are currently 22nd.

Their form is one win in 10, a points deduction will go nicely with that.

I imagine they will change manager again soon.

Decided to grow my beard fuller so for the first time in my life I went full hipster and had a shave and beard trim at the barbers. Lying back with the football on TV as someone shaves you is a joyous experience that I shouldn't have denied myself for this long.

I had this done yesterday. No football but still…

In other news, the last two friday nights have been fantastic gigs in London (Radiohead) and Manchester (Wolf Alice). I now have an inappropriate crush on Ellie Rowsell. (Which is probably better than having one on Thom Yorke…) Mrs Guru was not sure why she needed to dressed in a spangly leotard with thigh high boots. I didn’t really mind too much.

I used used go to a Kurdish barbers before I moved and used to make a point of growing my beard out enough to do the full shave thing as it was ace. They did the whole flame treatment on the ear fuzz even if only having a haircut.

I got a burnt ear lobe from this stupid practice. Briefly considered (for a few seconds) of making a claim, but thought I’d more likely get my house burnt down by the criminal empire than any compo, so didn’t bother.

I was pleased to see Lando Norris win the championship on Sunday but he's a bit to nice for me to get behind the cause.
