Voted for the first time as a Canadian citizen. It was only for the leadership race of a provincial party, but it was good to be involved with the democratic process again. I believe I'm still eligible to vote in British elections although that eligibility expires next year, but I haven't bothered - it seems a bit rum to vote for leadership of a country that I don't live in.

Please do. We need all the help from sane people we can get.

This is the nicest thing you've ever said about me.

The ‘sane’ bar is pretty low these days.

Pretty sure it's badly applied as well. To entirely the wrong sort of people.

"Sane" just means the most homogeneous delerium.

    Bell curve (not an insult).

If we label as sane those who steadfastly refuse to face reality, and instead comply with their masters, then we can ostracise, persecute, oppress, section, and medicate, the rest.

    Control 101.

Scored a backheel volley goal, but I don't like to talk about it.

Not this time. Run down the channel by two defenders, and flicked it up, span round and backheeled it past them, and the onrushing keeper. Since you ask.

Absolute fucking worldy of a finish.

Babelfish: so, in a rare foray into the opposition half I instantly gave the ball away because I have a first touch like a parked car.
I was ‘running’ back into position when one of their players tried to kick the ball past me, and instead hit me on the heel as I was facing away and it ricocheted off into their net.
    I’m claiming it.

I'm reminded of when old deadlegs scored one deflected off his heel, to go with his penalties, and some people used the fact that he had golden booted to say that he was the worlds greatest striker.

Hit my weight target two days ago, and after demonstrating it wasn't a one off, decided to reward myself with an atypical beer.

Went for a 'specially selected' Coffee Stout from aldi.

Strong recommend if you like that sort of thing. If you don't, try it. It's absolutely outstanding. £1.79 a half litre bottle.

Needed some new clothes, for new size me, so visited my designer for a couple of outfits.

George furnished me with two pairs of jeans, five polo shirts, five jumpers, a pair of sports shorts, and change from seventy notes.

Went mad and splashed out on seven pairs of socks, three boxer shorts, and a 't' shirt, from lidl for fifteen sheets.

If I go in and out with the boxers that's comfortably enough for a weeks worth of wearing without washing.

Very good. Mine is currently around 40 minutes on account of not being able to run more than 4 minutes without a walk. Don't go tearing your achilles, it's highly inconvenient.
