Got a notification that my internet service, which is very good (500MBps FTTH, unlimited data) but very expensive ($135 per month) was going up another $5, so I looked at some comparables and called my provider's loyalty department to see what they wanted to do about it. Now I have 1GB service for $90 per month.
Also, I dropped the sports channels from my cable package - I already have streaming services for football (both kinds), and I don't care about baseball, tennis, poker or any of the other things they filled the channels with. That saved me another $32 a month. Just have to figure out how to watch hockey now.
In a similar vein, I finally have 1Gb in Vermont for $95 USD, only took almost 3 years after I purchased the house but already made a huge difference, previously we had been managing on 2mb at best.
Also pleasing me in the absolute opposite sense has been spending the past 5 days in Locorotondo in southern Italy, staying at a very small place with old friends, where there is almost no cell signal and no WiFi. It’s been bliss to disconnect and not even think about working.
I will go to a few, but there are 41 home games a season, it's an hour and a half drive each way in Canadian winter weather, and I already have a season ticket for my NFL team.
As I'm sure you are aware it was an entirely facetious comment but I've learnt about the hockey season and your proximity to the ground which I find interesting, so thank you.
