    All new material

Woah. Jimmy Carr must have changed, then.

Because of his rising popularity in these here parts he tours fairly often. He also has Netflix specials. Every time he is here live he very very rarely overlaps material. He is pretty prolific. Maybe New Zealand might be a sheep too far for him? I don't know but haven't been disappointed yet.

He is back in October so I guess that might be a big test, Anyway, capped off a pretty shitty week by making it better.

    Chicago: Easily pleased.

At least that's properly resolved with a clear understanding of boundaries and we can be completely confident of no repercussions going forward.

Made chilled soda water with my cream whipper. Delicious in this heat.

Jimmy Carr is fine, but not much I've seen would count as original.

Just arrived in Santiago de Compostela, having walked a big chunk of the camino. Just over 104 miles in nine days.18 miles today.

Hope you have the energy to walk around the bars tonight. The tapas is great, but you need to do the different speciality of each bar...traditional tapas style.

I've been to SdC several times...never bothered with the walking bit...apart from..... (see above)

It's something I have fancied doing - that or one into Rome - was it a good experience?

It was terrific, although my feet have a different opinion at the moment. Stayed in some good hotels, met some interesting pilgrims and ate and drank well. We did the Portuguese Way, starting just over the border from Portugal. Thoroughly recommended. Going to get pissed if I can get off this bed.

    Congratulations!
We are heading to SdC/Galicia in August (via plane, not walking) and might do a chunk of that route. Looks spectacular.
Also send any tapas and bar tips!

I may have mentioned before that the fancy water machine at work allows you to add flavours, vitamins, electrolytes and caffeine, but I just noticed that it actually tells you how much caffeine it's adding. My full flask of water contains 102mg of caffeine, which is about the same as an average strength mug of coffee.

I find sparkling water to be a far preferable delivery system for wake up juice.

Tomorrow is the big Pride party in Toronto and I have an insane day planned. We're starting with a club at 6am which closes at 10am, then going to a friend's for mimosas and brunch on her patio, then to the parade for a bit, then finishing off the day with a big open air rave.

I may die, but there are worse reasons for death than unbridled hedonism.

Club #1 completed. Dancing for 4 hours from 6-10am powered by nothing but coffee and a turkey sandwich was a fun experience but one I doubt I'll be in a hurry to repeat. My hips are sore and I have a blister already. And I need a lie down.
