I was thinking about what he's going to do with the next team selection. That performance means they all keep their place ... right? But that would mean leaving, on paper at least, some very good players on the bench ( if even in the squad). It's a nice problem to have - I'm glad it's not one I have to solve.

It's Burnley at home next. We're going to approach that very differently to Chelsea awsy.

Hopefully not in the same way we last approached Burnley home.

I would expect at least 4 changes. No, I don't know who.

    1 Turner
    29 Montiel (Aina)
    24 Aurier
    19 Niakhaté
    30 Boly (Worrall)
    7 N Williams (Felipe)
    22 Yates
    12 Nascimento dos Santos (Sangare)
    8 Kouyaté (Gibbs-White)
    11 Wood (Awoniyi)
    21 Elanga

I make it at least 6 guaranteed changes. Then you have to consider whether Dominguez, Hudson-Odoi, Origi or Mangala get a look in.

If that is our starting team, I’d be extremely surprised. And very worried.

The weather in Madeira is annoying me. Am on a hiking holiday and got drenched the last two days. This morning looks no better.

Why do you think that there are 6 guaranteed changes?

I sense there are people talking about changes from Chelsea game and people talking about changes from the Burnley game.

Ah right yes, that makes sense.

I was wondering what changes he would make to the team that beat Chelsea, for the next league game against Burnley. I think he'll want to get Sangare into the team, but it would seem very unfair to drop anyone from the Chelsea starting 11. Personally I think I would go with this....

    Turner
    Montiel, Worrall, Felipe, Niakhte, Aina
    Yates, Sangare
    Gibbs-White, Awoniyi, Elanga

I can make a case for Neco getting a go at RWB though. Changing out Boly and McKenna is a very tough call but I think I would. Hudson-Odoi, Origi and Dominguez would likely all be coming on around the 65/70 minutes mark.

We really don't know what any of the new players will look like in training. What their current levels are. I don't know which ones will be staying with the group over the international break. You would think that modest changes would be the most sensible - you don't really want half a team suddenly having to discover the pace of the 'ship at the same time in a game.

Clearly we have bought a number of players well capable of starting, but they could still do with a bit of experience at the level alongside them to help them settle. Isn't the next game against Burnley? We need to win that, not just have a grand experiment.

    BrettWilliams and Brid like this.

Yes but they all performed well in Champ Manager and you don't need to train for that

He came on and scored because Danilo was injured. I'm presuming Danilo won't be fit for Burnley. It looked like his hamstring.

Sangare for Danilo, possible change at RB, but otherwise unchanged I think

I see that MoTD goal of the month competition didn't merit Big T and the Lightning Kid tearing a 100m long arse-en-hole worthy of consideration.

Danilo played, along with MGW, just behind Taiwo didn't he? If so, don't think that is the type of player Sangare is. He's more Yates and Mangala like.
