We are at the poshest wellness and longevity centre I have ever been to in Montenegro. Unfortunately the bed was so soft last night I was up most of the time with searing Sciatica. What kind of cutting edge bollocks is that???!

So no sleep, grumpy and in pain. Great fucking start!

Now I have to parade around naked in Nightgowns being prodded and manhandled all because wifey wanted this for her birthday. I feel hopelessly out of place.

    Chicago: Uncomfortable.

Wish I was getting the currency speculators briefing from the white house. I wouldn't have paid my server bill yesterday in dollars. Today would have been better.

I'm clearly falling for it as I thought what is written there is a reasonable approximation of what's happened?

Actually re reading I see the issue with who is paying.

London numbers starting 0204 601 have been annoying me for weeks as they are all "likely nuisance" or "possible scam". You can't block them because they change one of the last 4 digits every day.
The problem I have is that I am finishing my current contract shortly and have recruiters calling me, so I can't just ignore every number I don't recognise. Calls from Turriff and small towns near Blackburn are easily ignored as it's massively unlikely a recruiter would be calling from there. As it is I just answered a call from a London number and had to apologise to the recruiter for waiting a few seconds before talking to see if there was a click.

Spam and scam calls are a real scourge for anyone who uses their phone for business purposes. I'm sure there must be a way of controlling them, but the will is not there.

Get a non-location specific VoIP line that costs to call from a UK network (peanuts for someone who really wants to get in touch with you, and once they have you can contact list their number and give them your mobile).

Blanket spammers don't call when each call costs.

Check whether your provider offers call control, whereby a caller has to press a number to be connected. It will stop autodiallers and predictive dialler, which are 98% of SPIT.

Had been getting increasingly hectoring messages from our gas & electric supplier about changing the meter (apparently the old one will stop working in July). Finally had it done this morning, booking the appointment through the supplier. Fitter left at 1045, got another nagging text at 1116.

I think my mother has gone full-boomer. In the same exchange where she told me about the trips to Dublin and Germany she’s just been on, and about the cruise she’s about to go on, she complains about ‘this government’ trying to take everything from pensioners ‘except the ones on benefits’. FFS.
