Yep, so I gather. Pretty fucking stupid to deliberately separate your punters from their luggage.

Indeed. We were thinking of astypalea next year, via a plane, but stories like this put me off
Update. We’re back in the UK but our bags aren’t. They may turn up in a couple of days, probably at Manchester airport which means a four hour round trip to collect them.
Do they not even offer to courier them?
I'm about an hour from Manchester in a car (which I don't own). I'll be going to the Palace game. I could, for a modest fee, fetch them and bring them to the game. You may also need to send me a copy of your passport and credit card details. Just as proof of ID obviously.
No. But I’m talking to the UK holiday company we used and hope they may help.
I was at Manchester Airport this morning. I didn't see them.
I’ll be at Manc airport (MAN) in a couple of weeks. So I could pick them for you if you like? I will be travelling to Orlando (MCO) so you would have to pay £25 each way per bag for the journey.
But I could drop them off in Mansfield after.
On second thoughts they wouldn’t fit in the boot with our other bags. So I will have to withdraw my helpful offer.
Also all your passwords, mother's maiden name, shoe size and credit card PIN. Just in case.
I’m in Manchester this weekend so also happy to bring them back to Oxfordshire if that helps.
I assume said bags are tagged?
Brian Laws constantly saying 'Woods' instead of 'Wood'.
Thanks for the helpful (and unhelpful) offers, folks. Tempted to send the bags on holiday again with RC - they do so enjoy visiting new places - but I'll sort it out myself.
Immediately after Fray did an extended explanation of why he pronounces Ola Aina "Aina", rather than "Aina" (ok, Ay-na not Aye-na).
That was a massive cringy boomer rant. I couldn't help but wonder talkback's reaction if I had come out with it.
My takeaway: Of course he has a preferred way of saying his own name, but for the sake of a path of least resistance he was comfortable with whatever someone was using....after all, it's only a label. When asked for the correct pronunciation, he provided it. No biggy.
For balance, I live in Manchester, not too far from the airport, and I'm likely to do fuck all to help.
Was it rant? Sounded like he was explaining why he pronounced it differently from other commentators. I'm guessing he's probably been picked up on it as it's the sort of thing people will moan about.
