The amount of people going on a tour will be such a small number, the amount asking to be rebooked onto another tour must be tiny. Wouldn’t even be surprised if no one else had.
And the club do favours for people when it suits. On EMT this week there was a nice staged bit of PR when Ryan Yates popped out the back of the ticket office to give someone who had been on the ST waiting list (lol) their season ticket. Are all season ticket holders demanding this service?
Im just not massively sure every request needs a computer says no response.
On trickys point I remember queuing for a ST overnight in the late 90s. I must have been about 14, the ground was unlocked and me and my brother spent a bit of time walking around the pitch, stands etc. And still remember it fondly.
Yeah, clearly there's no good reason not to allow anyone in off the street to poke around an international cricket ground or premier league football ground. No possible risk associated with that.
What is it that's changed after a hundred years of being perfectly fine to do exactly that? Is it that community assets, built by the people, for the people, and there to serve the community, have now been stolen by financial interests, who need to hide themselves and what they have taken, that was never theirs to own, behind fortifications, to protect them from the people they have oppressed, stolen from, and they believe are beneath them?
As result of destabilisation fed by those financial interests to divide and prosper from the opportunities created by inequality? If people feel a part of something, very few of them want to break it.
Those that do, can be easily handled by the vast majority. If you are against society and the people, of course they will be a threat to you. That's what you made.
Community assets to a limited degree. It's not like you could just wonder in while there was a game on and you weren't supposed to be in there when there wasn't. It's just that the clubs didn't think it was worth the effort and expense of securing them when there wasn't anything going on.
The point is that if you change the nature of your relationship with other people, they will notice and change their relationship with you. Which might end up to your detriment.
Presumably not. Do you think that guy rang up and said ‘I’m only accepting this if Yatesy hands it to me’? Yeah, of course the club does PR puff for the cameras. Always has. And it does stuff not for the cameras as well. It’s not comparable to your situation. Those things are necessarily done on occasion at the discretion of the club. Your complaint is about boring old day-to-day policy.
Maybe. We have no idea. Maybe they allow a certain number of people to swap but after that they have to say no or it starts to mess with the numbers. Maybe they run loads of tours and there are always one or two people trying to reschedule (it’s hardly uncommon that plans change or circumstances get in the way), maybe your email got to some overworked minimum wage admin worker who didn’t have the authority to do anything and decided that they couldn’t be bothered sending it up to their boss because they had a thousand other things to do. Or maybe they didn’t give a fuck. We don’t know.
I have to set policies and make decisions about customers wanting little favours every day. They probably all think ‘I wouldn’t be surprised if nobody else asked for this’. They are wrong.
Not sure where the profit is in hiring goons to stop people doing nice things. Well, except for Goon Plc.. they’re making bank. And maybe whichever cunt supplies the dayglo.
