Well that's fucked up three different weekends that we'd booked tickets for.

I haven't dared look yet. In denial on hols. I'll face reality on Monday.
pray for Bingo
It's only LNER at moment if that helps.
Alternative plan now activated for the Oval. Realised that, while it’d be a shame if my brother in law can’t visit, it would mean I can get to the Wolves game. As long as it’s sorted by October, it’s not too bad.
Meant to be down London today for work. Got myself to the station for 6:50, just in time for my 7:02 train. There was no 7:02 train on the board. Odd. Upon investigation, discovered I'd accidentally booked a train FROM London to Sheffield, rather than Sheffield to London. Same for the planned journey home this evening. I'd booked the journey in reverse. Fuck. Buying a new brand new ticket was going to be about £180 (rather than the £60 I'd paid), so I'm now having a coffee on the way back home. Will be sending a sheepish email to a few people apologizing shortly.
Do you pay for the London trips or claim it back (assume you pay from what you said above)?

Yes, I have to pay unfortunately. It was my choice to relocate. If at some point I was to officially become 'remote' then that would likely change I guess. Would need some conversations with the boss.
I was due to take my 7 year old on the city ground tour last week, a last minute change of circumstances well beyond our control (which I won’t go into) made it not possible to attend.
I emailed the club to ask if there was any chance of transferring the tickets to another date. Having being ignored I resent the email today and have now had a reply telling that’s not going to happen in line with the ticketing policy.
But they thanked me for my ongoing support. Kind of ironic really given living in south Leics it’s a hard sell to get my lad interested in Forest and he will be part of his football team leading out the Leicester players in October of which the experience is only going to lead to affinity from him.
Yes I know the club are right with their policy and not their fault we could not attend but I’d have hoped there would have been a little bit of goodwill.

Sadly, it’s part of a change in culture at the club. No such things as fans and goodwill anymore, but cash cows to exploit as much as possible. A move unsurprising after promotion but hugely accelerated in the last year, even more so since the dirtyleeds finance guy was appointed.
There's 12k+ on the season ticket waiting list you know.
Forest remind me of some absolute dumb ass who wins millions on the lottery and is back on the dole in 5 years having spent the lot, wondering where all the "friends" he had when he was rich have gone.
Every year after fawaz nicked my seat, I've been more and more delighted that I'm over the compulsion to attend.
Sad. At least as much about me, as about what forest has become. Not something I see reversing any time soon. Whatever the circumstances the club finds itself in.
Nice to go every now and again. For old times sake. The memories are generally better than the current reality.

My lad led out Leicester about 10 years or so ago along with his junior football team (holding hands with Kante). If it helps to reassure you though, he still absolutely hates the cheating cunts.
Think I'd like to walk out holding hands with Kante. An all time great for me. Combining our attributes and ability, as a midfield pair, we would be absolutely bang average. Probably worse.

That reminds me of the ice hockey stat about the highest scoring pair of brothers in NHL history, Wayne and Brent Gretzky. Career points: Wayne 2857, Brent 4.

And that’s exactly it.
My next game was going to be the Fulham one but not bothering now and will go and watch my non league team that day. With me writing off £35 for the tour and then ‘saving’ £45 on that game it leaves me £10 ‘up’ so fuck you mr fan engagement manager. (I fully realise he doesn’t give a fuck either and someone else will take the seat).
It’s not even about the money, it’s being about right with people. They could easily put us on a future tour at no/negligible cost to the them but have chosen not to.
