After all this Nonsense they didn’t even give me the written test. Just the eye test which I aced after I realized which one was my good eye. Take note George Boyd!

    Chicago: Real person again.

PS: I think my drivers test in New York when I lived there lasted five minutes as the instructor said, “you’ve clearly driven before”, and passed me on the spot.

Mine was something like that. Out in west Jersey somewhere. [instructor directs me to a side street with zero traffic on which you could comfortably land a Cessna] “Do a three point turn, please.”

My idiot brother-in-law who has managed to rack up two years of rent arrears and is now facing eviction and homelessness, meaning I have to spend the long weekend scrambling to try and get a deal done with his landlord to settle the debt and guarantee his rent moving forward.

Two years! How do you even do that.

By being an alcoholic junkie bum who is unwilling to face the basic realities of life.

How’s Ingo going to ask for 12 Quid from now on if you do that?

Yesterday I placed £100 on us being relegated.

I've wanted a Nintendo Switch for a while but not been able to justify it. I figured if we go down, it would make me feel 20% better (the winnings would cover it).

I'm now £100 down and delighted about it.

Unless I'm missing something, this new board doesn't have a poll function.

We don’t need a poll to establish whether Jim’s gambling problem depriving his daughter of a Nintendo makes him a bad parent, do we?

Do we need to re-evaluate the value of shady?

No he’s still a giant bellend.

Flight from Port Louis to LHR. Four hour delay for takeoff became five. What really annoyed me was that after keeping us awake so they could offer us a piece of cake and a drink at 03.30 four hours later, ca. four and a half hours into a twelve hour flight, they woke us all up to have breakfast! F off I just want to sleep but no, lights full on and made to put seats upright.

Lighten up fuckface, they are just checking on how many people have died in-flight, and getting the circulation going in those looking close to the edge.

I saw a tweet recently about someone complaining that their flight was diverted due to a death on board, and making the rather wonderful argument that diverting wouldn't improve the deceased's chances of recovery so it made no sense to inconvenience the remaining living passengers. It seemed rather like an argument that Tricky would make.

    An entirely logical one?

As long as the flight isn't so long that the corpse would start to be a health hazard, I don't see the problem.

I agree. I think that only a certain select group of society are willing to publicly make arguments that place logic and correctness ahead of sensitivity, and you are definitely in that group. I don't say it like it's necessarily a bad thing.
