And another. I’m also partial to the Adnams Ghost Ship 0.5% which is very similar to the real thing.

That's the next bottle in the fridge so pleased to hear it's a better bet than the Doom Bar.

Ginger shots are a thing, I'm led to believe. It shouldn't be beyond the wit of man to whip up a home made version of that at a fraction of the price.

Which is probably not the point.

Mrs BW and I started on these a couple of months ago when we were both struggling to shake a horrible virus that Little Miss BW brought back from school.

We soon realised the Mojo shots were stupidly expensive so began making our own. Lob apple juice, lemon juice and chopped ginger into a blender. They're really quite nice and we've carried on having one every morning first thing before breakfast.

I've got some ginger at the moment, so I shall be giving this a go. Although given my palate I'm looking for something a bit more aggressive...thinking lime, honey, cider vinegar, chilli.

Sounds good. Basic recipe I follow is:

    400ml of apple juice
    Juice of half a lemon
    60g of fresh ginger

Some folk shove the brew though a sieve to remove the fibrous bits from the ginger and make it smoother, but I can't be arsed and it doesn't bother me.

Isn’t that Apple, lemon and ginger
    As opposed to ginger?

You people are comparing notes on alcohol free beer and ginger shots, and I'm the weird one for liking booze and drugs and sex and cars?

It's a good beer when you're hungover, but I can only put up with one.

Hence the if (as you didn’t specify stout and Guinness makes a bunch of different drinks now). Wait until you find out Porsche makes four doors and SUVs.
