If we're getting rid of Cooper I'd love us to give him a go. But not a chance it happens.

It would certainly make more sense than a handbrake turn to a Dyche-type appointment.

If Cooper does go I think it will be someone like Glasner or Lopetegui, an experienced European coach who is available.

That MgGuigan 0% Shiraz is shit. Smells and tastes like vinegar and has a unpleasant slight fizz.

I poured it down the sink.

I've been doing my research on 0% lagers. The winner is Peroni, an acceptable methadone for the 'just in from work/whilst cooking' void. At around £1.25 for 330ml though it is some expensive lemonade.

    I have a spreadsheet....

Peroni is decent, but I prefer Free Damm and Staropramen in the lagers.

I did all that years ago during my first tentative forays into sobriety. I expect products and and market have changed since but Cobra 0 was my personal winner back in the day.

Clearly my circumstances were different, but even the 0% alternatives were a no go for myself and my feeble subconscious in the end. Although I do now find a good ginger beer (not to be confused with ginger ale which is just sugary water) to be a refreshing alternative in social situations. Fentimans or Fever Tree are the bollocks (the former is a bit pricey, mind).

Lashings and lashings thereof, I hope?

In the absence of beer, the last thing I want is the taste without the hit. You don't get coke heads snorting pure teething powder in an attempt to get through the day. Sparkling Water or Soda Water are the go to for me, apparently there is a difference, with a wedge of lemon if the circumstances encourage.

I like beer. I like the flavour complexity and hops that you get in bear. I also like hop water, and water in general. And ginger bear.... and most drinks that are not just some over sweet sugary nonesense. That includes zero alcohol beer at times.

Mainly I like a good well balanced IPA. Original style (think jaipur), not craft (I'm not a fan of beer that tastes of fruit juice). Or a nice sour gueuze lambic.

... but I mostly drink water. Tap variety.

Soda water has bicarb of soda in it.

I love 0.0 larger and have tried pretty much all of them over the last few years (different pubs sell different ones as you'd imagine, they don't tend to stock them all, and so I have to have whichever that pub stocks) the Corona and the Heineken being my favourites, but there are a lot of other good ones (Becks Blue is also nice but a slightly smaller bottle which annoys me a little)
I am coming at it from a slightly different angle though; Firstly I am Teetotal (not by choice) so wanted to have a drink I felt I was fitting in with (I hate pop, water and soft drinks) for all the times I am in pubs, which is very often. And Secondly I never had larger before then, so have no idea how well they compare with the 'real thing' I just know I like them.

That should have read ginger beer. I don't have a thing for ginger bears.
