I might be a slow learner here, but Sky have 215 premier league games next season. Out of 380. About 6 per round of fixtures.

TNT has another 55, leaving on average less than 3 games per week on Saturday 3pm, minus moves caused by Europe on Thursday and no TV pick.

I imagine Sky's total includes all midweek and bank holiday games live on the red button, which is probably half a dozen full matchdays.

Courtesy of Bandy and Shinty, that 30 years ago today the Post was reporting that Malcolm Rigby had been fined a week's wages for drinking a bottle of whiskey in his hotel room on a pre-season tour of Norway and being taken to hospital for a stomach pump.

That Wrexham v West Brom is on ITV this lunchtime. I'd clearly missed that there are Championship games on terrestrial television this season.

    Last season as well.

But you're probably a bit late for that now.
