    Thank you! I did wonder.

Derby kick-off their season this evening, away at Blackburn.

It's dead handy in my job data wrangling, admittedly largely because it's so rarely used.

    And now a goal down.

They're looking a lot better in the second half.

Not sure why we're discussing it in this thread, but Derby got a deserved equaliser and Blackburn then score an absolute peach to take the lead again. The Blackburn winger put three defenders on their arses with one turn.

    3-1. Derby's defence is atrocious.

4-1. More dreadful defending. Fuck you shaggers.

Haven't seen any of it but did they really play Ben O at left back? Never going to be up to it physically. Not quick enough, not strong enough.

Pretty sure I read he was playing in a more advanced midfield role.

Apparently Blackburn are expected to struggle this year. From the highlights, you can see they've carved open Derby here for the goals. Hopefully a sign of what's to come for the Sheep this year. I recognise hardly any of their players.

That makes more sense but he’s not a great creater either.

Poor Ben O. Even people who like him describe him as not physical, not strong, not quick, not creative.

At least his academy nickname of "one touch too many Benny" didn't follow him.

The extent of Andrew Flintoff's facial injury. Just seen a trail for his new cricket documentary on the BBC. Poor guy. I'd read it was bad but this was the first time I'd seen him on screen since.

That Anthony Elanga has now made the same number of first-team appearances for Forest as he did Manchester United (39). He's scored two more goals in that time for us (five) then them (three), although I suspect he started more from the bench for United.

Hoping this is the season he kicks on another level - he's certainly got all the minerals. Slightly better decision-making and final ball, and he could become unplayable with that pace.
