Tavares had the best game I've seen for us. Can be great moving forwards but still skyed a couple, and gave the ball away a couple of times.

Sels did nothing wrong but wasn't really tested.

Yeah, I’m really warming to Tavares after previously thinking he was useless. Also really liked Dominguez today and thought both Neco and CHO are getting better under Nuno than perhaps they would have done under SSC. Murillo is a helluva footballer.

West Ham and Kalvin Phillips both seem like ideal Steve Cooper projects, although possibly not both together. Their forum seems mostly focused on Graham Potter though.

He's not far wrong though. A shite nasty second tier club who had one great season in the early 90s/late 80s, think they have a great history because they specialised in playing sideways for a few decades, and more lately have been gifted a massive oversized stadium that they don't really know what to do with and gives the knuckleheads aggrophobia.

    WE SCORED AGAINST TEN MEN!!!!!!!!!

Also nailed on Penalty not given. Mad Frenchman trod on Neco's ankle. Ridiculous he (the ref) didn't even look at it. Also Was Yates really interfering with Danilo's shot when Aerola nipple dropped it in his net? If we hadn't won this game then I would have said nailed on relegation. Especially when playing so well and Wet Sham down to ten men.

Neco was fantastic today. Definitely MOM. Best I have seen him play. Brave, smart, aggressive. Kunis is a very good player and was forced to switch sides against Nuno and his dodgy defending.

Also best game for CHO who was ace and also Murillo. Felipe and his dark arts even though he totally cocked up still pissed off Antonio so much that he moved to the wing.

What was confounding was the fact that Lord Prowse wasn't taking the balls into our box which is our obvious weakness. We also did the same on a baffling level.

Totally outplayed them. Very unlucky not to completely twonk them but if we hadn't got anything from this then I would have given up. Our play was sharp, incisive and fluid. We still have mistakes in us but much much much better. With being up 1-0 and still giving away free kicks I was very anxious. Luckily we broke at pace and finished them.

Lovely goal from Taiwo. Cho clinical. Elanga Franz Carr being... well Franz Carr... Morgan being Imperious.

Danilo had his best game this season. Worked really well with the Dominator who suddenly looks a player again.

Good day at the office. Confident now we can kick on.

Just be nice if Ever-gone , Poo-ton and Palarse all are unimpressive this week.

Villa and their shit high line next.

    Chicago: Choo Choo!

Reading online that the audio of the not-a-pen was talking about it not being deliberate but accidental.

Is that actually part of the rules and if so how is accidental defined? Are clumsy players now given more leeway?
Tricky, your time may still come at the top level.

  • 17 Feb 2024, 9:56 p.m.

If we can find a way to defend well with defensive players as attack-minded as Tavares, Neco and Murillo in the team it really could be quite promising. When you think what they are capable of compared to Worral, McKenna, Steve Cook etc it's quite a transition and a big change from sitting back very deep with the odd lump up to 2 or 3 quick lads at the top.

It obviously hasn't been all plain sailing and we are still very much in the shit thanks to the potential pointa deduction, but it feels like Nuno has got us playing with so much more bravery than Cooper was able to.

    There were fireworks.

Bemused by criticism of Elanga - he's such a constant threat. Yes, it doesn't always come off, today wasn't his best game and the miss at the end was terrible but I'm excited by the player we could have for the next few years.

  • 17 Feb 2024, 10:17 p.m.

No Criticism here. He is fun to watch and some of the stuff he does is amazing. It's when he has time to think he cocks it up. I can relate. I have scored Worldy's and absolutely shit canned easy one on one's or sometimes open goals. His body is faster than his brain at times. This is why I call him Franzy Carr Elanga. Totally fun to watch, frustrating at times but always always entertaining.

If he get some consistency he will be an absolute world beater.

Today was our best performance of the season by a mile. I would hope that this is the beginning and not an anomaly. Wet Sham have some good players. They did though look pants today which is some ways was down to how well we played. Tavares is our defensive version of Elanga. Absolute Athelete, total clanger machine. Imagine he is actually scores from his mutliple impetuous attempts on goal. He would be impossible in the dressing room.

Nuno is doing a bang up job with us. We look like a Premier League team. Just hope Glasner doesn't turn around Palarse too much.

    Chicago; Franzy Nuno player.

Elanga has more assists than Son, Palmer, Maddison, Odegaard and the same as Foden and Saka. He's got as many goals as Nketiah, Martinelli and Rashford. He's 21 and he only cost us 15M. What were his critics expecting? He's had a great start and I'm not even sure he's a downgrade on Brennan Johnson. We have done some bad business for sure, but him and Taiwo are arguably our best value signings since we got promoted.

I worked all day and wrote without thinking after getting home all hopped up on a Forest win.. It's like when you are arguing with people.

    Chicago: Blaming spell check.

Nicknames definitely should be included in every match report even if spell check fucks it up.
