Seems we don't have a videogames thread. I know you're all old but old people play games too.

Anyway, for those of you with a PC you may know about Epic Games. If you don't, Epic Games is a webstore for PC gamers. One of their gimmicks is that every week they give away two games for free, you just have to create an account and add them to your library and they're yours to download whenever you want completely free.

This week they have Football Manager 2024 as a freebie. If you want it you have until 11am EST next Thursday to claim it.

(I assume this also works in the UK, it works fine in Canada.)

It's also a valid offer in NZ. And I have already started leading Cambridge United back to glory with their traditional vertical tiki-taka.

I hope its improved over recent versions, last played the 22 version when it was also an Epic freebie, but spent most of the game answering emails rather than any footballing, felt too much like a real job.

It collects a lot of information about you, and requires phone home capability to function. Notwithstanding how tedious, drawn out, and administrative the game itself has become, that's a hard no, for me.

That link also includes a free version of 2020, which might be a better bet if that's your bag. It at least loads offline.

I don't have a PC. I have an Apple will this still apply to me?
