Miguel and Worrall both start.
Miguel and Worrall both start.
Yates still captain though.
Is that Emmanuel Dennis starting and Omar Richards on the bench?
Chris Woot!
2-0. Bowler.
3-0. Sangare.
Good for him.
Nice to win a pre season game. Feels like the last few years we've barely won any.
Must help that we’ve retained pretty much all of the key members of last season’s squad (so far). I’d still take it as a win if we only lose one of the high value players.
The goals (albeit from pitch level).
This. Yes, it's the 1st pre-season game against a team that has just been promoted to League 2, but it sounds like we played some decent stuff, whereas in previous pre-seasons we've come across as disjointed and frankly awful against all comers.
Ola Aina has changed his squad number from 43 to 34? Ok, if you like.
It feels like da silva moreira could be a bit more than someone we loan out or who never see play. He appears like he may have the atheltic qualities and speed to be a Premier league squad right wing back.
Of course, only a pre-season friendly against lower-league opposition, but this looks more like what he was signed to do.
I see that Chesterfield bounced back from this reverse to win 4-0 tonight. Against Derby. Ho ho.
(No, I haven't checked the line ups. Why would I do that that rather than enjoy the black and white of the result?)
I have no idea who the ipswidge players are. I've got no fucking clue about chesterfield and Derby.
Apparently the Sheep are spending £1.4M on a Swedish keeper. Thought they were supposed to be broke?
Having spent the last 4 years living about 5 miles from Saltergate (or whatever it's called these days) I'm generally aware of how they are getting on (if not the actual laundry wearers). I'm going to take a tiny bit of pleasure from them beating the sheep 4-0 under any circumstances. It's a quiet Wednesday.
After losing 3-0 to us, they also lost 3-0 the Sheffield United.
Clearly Derby are more their level.
