    Is that fact?

If it makes it easier to trade than it otherwise would have been, yes.

By the looks of it. The U.K. Will allow shit food from the USA to be imported in because the EU actually has standards. Nice one Kier. I understand the economy was fucked by Brexit but let’s just poison our citizens with god knows what horrors the food industry of America will bring.

Would have been better to rejoin the EU.

    Chicago: Living on poisoned earth.

5live were reporting that any beef etc would still have to meet UK food standards. I’ve not read the detail.

I do think any deal has the unfortunate effect of legitimising Trump

Don't worry. Anyone who thinks this is in any way trumps idea is a certifiable idiot.

I didn't say it was possible just the optimum for me given where the world is now.

I'd like to see some figures on costs and benefits etc on imports and exports both ways before I celebrate. But that's probably just me (given I think all politicians are degrees of lying cunts and I don't trust anything any of them say), others may be happy to trust the government to know what they are doing and celebrate with them.

Who are you electing for the role? I'd like to put myself forward. I'm genuinely motivated to do my absolute best for people and our society. I'm also highly likely to prioritise self-interest, shovel cash into my own pockets, garner power and privilege, and generally take the piss.

Have you got a candidate that you think could do better for you?

If Badenoch says it's terrible, then it must be better than it looks.

    Quoted message:

The real win here could be that this agreement on tariffs will keep the US sweet whilst leaving the door open to a substantive deal with the European Union.
By maintaining UK food standards and not, for example, accepting hormone treated beef or chlorinated chicken, a "full fat" food and farm export deal with the EU, similar to Switzerland's, is now clearly on the cards in the next fortnight. This could slash post Brexit red tape for key exporters both ways.
Then you have an overall picture of a growing economy, with good trade relations with the US, EU, India and soon the Gulf too, with rates being cut.

Interesting if accurate (from the bbc)

And the client list that was on Pam Bondi's desk, ready for release, turns out not to exist.

And he committed suicide.... I don't think anybody believes that do they? Especially now they say he didn't even have a list of clients...

    Laughable.

In other news, another of Putin's fired ministers turned up dead.... I wonder how long it will take Donald to cotton on this is good for his office... Oh and the Palestinians are now all going to be resettled.

Yes it is all going so well....

That's one of the least unbelievable things about this. He didn't want to be in prison, had tried before, knew what would be done to him, etc and so forth.

But I also would think that's why he wouldn't be enabled to do it, unless he was handed the opportunity.

So, Trump has rolled the troops into two US cities so far. Odds on him doing the same in all cities in swing states during the mid terms and the next general election, in an attempt to suppress the vote? Would, at least, remove anyone’s doubt that the US is an authoritarian state.
