Loads of people declare as undecided at this stage. More importantly, even more people likely haven’t decided whether to vote at all. The people who would not countenance voting for Trump aren’t going to change their mind about that because he’s still able to stand up and firehouse bullshit for 90 minutes… but they are less likely to go out and vote for Biden if they think he’s too knackered for the job.

Debates themselves don’t make all that much difference, but the ‘Biden is too old’ narrative has been impacting his support all along, and the debate supercharges it.

He’s still a decent bet to win because Trump is such a terrible candidate himself. But it shouldn’t even be close, MAGA cuntery needs to be soundly thrashed or it will continue to gain momentum.

The copium in this thread is high. Biden should be in a nursing home with my grandmother - in fact, I see people in better nick than him when I visit her. He needs to withdraw, and I say that as someone on Biden's side of politics.

The election will be won and lost on turnout rather than affiliation. A geriatric 80 year old who has trouble maintaining train of thought is not going to inspire enough Democratic voters enough to win, even if the alternative is Trump.

I did see it mooted that if he doesn’t run, they are basically admitting he isn’t up to the job. Which implies he should stand down now. And if they don’t let Kamala run in his place, that’s admitting she isn’t up to the job either. In which case what the fuck are they doing with those two as president and vice.

Very important to remember, at all times, that Biden is not the only one who should not be running.

He was shit in the debate and he’s too old for the job. Trump lied his stupid face off throughout the debate and he’s too dumb and corrupt for the job. He’s probably too old too. Objectively speaking, Trump is still the worst option. By a mile. And the ‘discourse’ being all about Biden being a bad candidate is a real fucking problem.
