Don’t worry he is deporting people now who have legal status. I am a citizen but I never used to be so we will see what happens when I return from Europe.

We were about to apply for citizenship, changed tack on that now and just kicked off the process to renew our current green cards.
Still not sure where we’ll end up in 10 years time but the odds on me moving forward with Italian citizenship and a potential move back to Europe increase on a almost daily basis.

Well ironically I was forced into Citizenship because they fucked up my naturalisation number by having me share it with three other people so when the finger print machines came into being at the airport they kept detaining me. I was told in no uncertain terms that this would not change unless I changed my status and became a citiizen. Something i had resisted because I didn't want to give up my British Citizenship. Turns out The USA didn't give a fuck about me renouncing because even if I moved back to Europe they could still charge me taxes as a member of the USA. Well bugger me.
So I have duel citizenhip and during the process I was told to let my Green card expire as I was changing statuses in the process. That is where the new adminstration are catching people who have been told to do the same and were legal but were between visas and taking the citizenship tests. I have been a Citizen for years now but they did give me shit at the interview for doing that even though I was told to. Nice to see some consistency in the system.
Anyway, this could be a problem for me but I would assume not as I am pretty sure I am now a fully fledged nutjob for at least ten years so I should be okay.
We will see when i travel at the end of the month.

Late 90s INS was a shitshow of epic proportions.If you had left whilst on a green card, you’d still pay taxes whilst living outside the US, until your Green card expired - oh and charge you an exit tax as well.

Can't see that he's going to back down. So I imagine China's tariff is going to go up again. Then China will do the same and so on. There's going to be 500% tariffs in a few weeks. All trade between the two will stop? It's pretty fascinating to watch if it wasn't fucking the world economy so much. If this was the UK someone would be, politically, removing the person from office already (See Truss). But in the USA not sure that has happens.
Johnson effectively did a similar thing by enacting a hard brexit, that the majority of the UK didn't want. Nobody did a thing. He was only thrown out because of the chronic lying and belief that the rules didn't apply to him. A notion that appals the compliant queuing brits.
